how does the pedipaw work for trimming rabbit nails? cuz buttons HATES having his nails trimmed. he bites and kickes and tries to kill the nail clippers. throws an absolute fit, the big baby

We have one but I’ve never used it for my rabbits or Chihuahuas. It just seems so big! I know some people do have success with them though so if you have one it could be worth a shot! Does Buttons react to simply having his nails and feet touched or does he only act that way when the clippers are out? I use cat nail clippers (they look like little scissors) and they work wonderfully on all my small animals. The only thing with them is that I do replace them about once a year as they get dull. The sharper they are the better as the animal doesn’t feel as much.

I bought one some time ago because I thought it would be easier but my buns wouldn’t sit still so I found it better with cat nail trimmers because you have to hold them still while it’s slowly filing them down.  I might try it on Sandy though, she doesn’t mind being held.

I love it-I’ve used it on all my buns, friends buns and dogs. For some reason the noise and vibration is less offensive to them then a clipper. However it is not quick -only downside. Also I took off the nail guard and it works better.

Honestly-go to the grooming section of a petstore and buy a REAL nail dremmel (That’s all the pedi paw is, with a useless nail guard) and use that. When my pedipaw bites the dust I’m replacing with a better nail dremmel.

Nope-it won’t split nails-it very gently files them-and actually leaves a very nice soft nail
