so the verdict is maybe that he’s a harlequin lion lop? this is exciting because i’ve had a very tough time trying to figure it out. i’ve researched it a lot and looked at a billion picture, but i just don’t have a trained bunny eye yet! thanks so much for your help!

and now that i’m looking up pictures of lion lops, i definitely think you’re right. he’s got the long fur only around his head – like a little mane. poor thing – he’s not accepted by the ARBA! maybe that’s why i couldn’t figure it out. well even if he’s a rabbit “mutt” he sure is a cutie! though i’m a little biased….. =)

oh and furface, i’m pretty sure there’s never such a thing as too many bunnies.
i’d say you could baby sit him some time, but i’m pretty sure i’d never get him back! (and i wouldn’t blame you for bunny-napping him!) hehe

i’ll get right on that. i’ve been making a point to try to take more pictures/video of him. those pics are from the first week he was here. he’s starting to show off a whole lot more now that he’s getting comfortable.

he’s a sweetheart, that’s for sure! he’s only been with us for about a month now and he already is fairly well litter trained, very playful, and likes to be petted. he’s not a fan of being picked up, of course, but he loves to climb all over me if i sit on the floor with him. he likes to use me as a ramp and sit on my shoulder and try to see where he can climb next.

i know i’m on the verge of the terrible teens, but so far he’s been very well-behaved and lovable! he seems to be a quick learner. and i’m SOO fortunate that he’s so sociable and isn’t skittish or anything.

and last but not least, tonight mj was playing with remnants of his willow ball when accidentally got it stuck on his face. i managed to snap this photo before he pulled it off, but he was sitting there for a while looking like a crazed little football player with a willow helmet on! my boyfriend and i couldn’t help but laugh at him.. poor guy.. he was just SO funny! he kept looking at both of us, occasionally shaking his head like, “aren’t you guys gonna stop laughing at help me get this thing off?!” thankfully he’s smart enough to figure most things out on his own because i’m pretty sure we couldn’t stop laughing even if we tried.

laughter is the best medicine, but laughter at your poor bunny’s expense is even better medicine!

lol! he does have a little bit of that in there, too. i work at a clothing boutique so i get an endless supply of the boxes we get our shoes in – nice and big, perfect for home made maze-making!
