It is possible that the other person “thought Bella may be a carrier” ..but I would think that a large, full to capacity, rabbit rescue (the director and their Vet) ..would be more concerned before bringing her into the general population and setting her up in a cage.. right on display. They have more at risk than my two Chinchillas.. in spite of knowing how much I love my girls.
I am analyzing this too much.. making it worse, of course… so I am going to trust my Vet.
I usually do a long term (longer than recommended) quarantine in separate air space (a friend’s house), but Bella needed me round the clock those first few days.. and I skipped that step. I brought her into my home (different room) and pretty much relaxed all strict quarantine, when the two professionals gave me the “okay”.
Yeah.. like I said, I’m putting too much on this. My Chin’kids are goofy as ever ..healthy little “horses” ..and Bella is getting fat and really sassy about taking her meds. LOL
Thanks again, everyone! I appreciate it very much. It’s nice to come to a forum where people know their stuff and they don’t jump up and down and scream at the nOoB with the questions. Thanks!
