I was buying supplies this afternoon at the Pet Club and while I was standing in line I saw an advertisement for this nail trimmer that lets you know when it’s safe to clip their nails.  It has a red, yellow and green light and if you get too close to the quick the red light flashes.  It flashes green when it’s safe to clip.  It comes in two sizes (that I saw), one for dogs and one for cats and small animals.

Has anybody seen this or has it?  It costs $24.99.  I was thinking about getting it since I’m a nervous wreck when it nail trimming time.  Thanks!

I haven’t got one yet but it’s on my wish list. 3 of my critters have black nails so I’m always very nervous.

ooooo adding to my x-mas list!  Sandy has dark nails too, I haven’t cut them yet since she’s still a baby and they’re short but I’ll be nervous when I do have to cut them.

It’s called Quick Finder. It’s made by Miracle Coat. It’s the neatest thing. It senses when you get too close to the quick. You turn it on, and place the nail in the circle. When the light flashes green, it’s safe to clip. It runs on two batteries which are included. I just love this thing! I brought the one for cats/small animals. They have one for medium dogs and one for large dogs. I paid $24.99+tax and it’s worth every penny. You can check it out at http://www.miraclecorp.com.

hmm we sell this at the store and ive had one customer return it.
i’d be curious to know if it really works or not!!

it’s a guillotine style clipper which is more difficult to use, supposedly.

Hmmm, for some reason my guts tell me don’t get it. I rather to do old-fashion way to clip rabbit’s nails because Romeo’s nails are white!
