I think Mr. Bunny’s getting a bit smart for my liking. Just now I was downstairs, about to give him his pellets…when I watched him get on his hind legs as far up as he could stretch, put all his weight on his front legs – which were on the food bin’s side, and reach into the open food bin…and start chewing the pellet bag madly.
At first he tried to pull the whole 10 lb bag out of the food bin, but when he figured out it was too heavy, he chewed at that bag like no tomorrow, not caring that he was eating plastic. I quickly grabbed the spray bottle and sqirted him, in the face, over and over again. He closed his eyes and ears and started chewing faster. So I went over and pulled him off, and told him he was a very bad bunny. Immediately after wiping his own face, he got right back up and started up again. Once I actually started getting his pellets, he was climbing my legs, scratching gently and sniffing wildly.
He almost tripped me a few times when I went to put his pellets in the foodbowl.
I think that he learned a little too much from munching a 2-inch hole in the hay bag recently.
