Penny has hit puberty, i believe. the chin marking wars have begun!
she’s still a wonderful little bun, though, thank goodness.
However, I have noticed some maturation of tastes when it comes to toys! Max has taken to throwing balls around (which he NEVER did before). Its so silly looking! This tiny bunny and big ol’ balls being tossed around. Sometimes he pushed them under him (like a hump, but not) and he rolls over! it’s wonderful.
And now, I’m watching Penny with her new favorite toy: a dish towel! She is going crazy. She’s pushing it around, bunching it up, spreading it out, with binkies in there too.
Anyways, I would love to hear about yalls buns’ favorite toys ![]()
My bun has taken to throwing her little blocks backwards. yep, she picks em up, and flings herself backwards throwing the block. its so funny! She did it 3 times in a row the otehr night, while me and the hubby sat there hysterical with laughter.
She also loves her little bear, she snuggles with it, grooms it, drags it around her cage, and covers it with her little blankie. Although I doubt the coverign it with the blankie is intentional, she just likes digging at her blankie, and doesnt care whats under it lol.
Sandy is reaching puberty too! She’s staring to mark her territory over by the gate where the other buns are. She’s chinning more too. I don’t know if this is normal or not but her tail looks like it’s ALWAYS up. She has a super long tail in the first place. It’s almost like she’s ready to aim at a minutes notice haha! I can hardly wait for next month when she gets spayed.
haha monkey!! she reminds me so much of max as a younger bun. if he wasnt silver marten (white under belly) i would swear they were twins!!
and skibunny, thank goodness penny isn’t spraying… territorial pooping, however, is constant. my room (the buns live with me in my bedroom) constantly smells of it. luckily, i invested on one of those diffuser things, and it helps a lot… *end tangent*. good luck with sandy! how old is she?

Sandy’s just doing territory pooping thank goodness! They do smell though
She has been very clingy, she’s constantly sitting on my lap, which is cute but her nails are a bit sharp and with her tail always being up I’m afraid she might pee on me
She’ll be 4 next month…I think that’s when she can be spayed right? How old is yours?
Yep, our buns keep running the poo train when we let them out in to the living room. We alternate their out time. Addie and Ben are out during the day, and then Vin gets the rest of the night.
Really, Addie and Ben aren’t too bad about the poo. A couple nuggets in the area’s where Vin runs around in the living room, and that’s it. But Vinny… he’s another story. I swear you could mistake his rear end for a Pez Dispenser. We have to follow him around for the first 10 minutes of “out” time with the hand vac.
He’ll be due for neutering in about another month. Hopefully that will help.
I’ve also been wondering about the bonding the three. Addie and Ben aren’t cuddle bugs (with people) but Vin is. He loves his attention. But I’m wondering if we bond him with the other two if he’ll lose that.

We don’t even have Sandy in the same rooms as them, she just runs around in her room. We tried that with Parsnip once and when Gracie came out it took her about a month or so to finally stop pooping and pee EVERYWHERE!
I think we went through 2 things of Urine Gone.
I’m a little excited but scared of bonding the three. It’ll be interesting once we get our buns fixed and start posting the bonding process…see who’s takes the least amount of time. We have 2 females too so I think they might butt heads ![]()
Last night my fiance crumpled up some phonebook pages and put them in the upper level of Otto’s Maze Haven. Otto spent the rest of the night moving them from the upper floor to the lower floor, then jumping down on top of them like a bunny ball pit. Lol. I’m sad I wans’t home last night to see it.
He’s totally obsessed with his Maze Haven, so I think that’s his favorite toy. His second favorite is a bunny rattle with little carrots on it. He loves when I hand it to him so he can throw it, but he rarely plays with it on his own. I also have some cardboard tubes from work (they’re like giant toilet paper rolls that have paper wrapped on them). He ikes to put his front feet on them and push them across the floor.
Otto will be 6 months in a few days and I haven’t noticed any change in behavior with puberty, thank goodness. If anything, he’s only becoming more outgoing and friendly with us, which is awesome because he tends to be very independent.
aw otto sounds adorable. i’m glad he’s not changing with puberty- so far penny is the same as well.
and skibunny, i think its 5 months? i dont know for sure, but that’s the date marked on my calender for her spay.
mr bill, max was like the pez dispenser butt too, before he was neutered. i’m verrrry glad it went away haha. i also use the hand vac with penny!! ![]()
My vet wants to hold off on getting my Monkey spayed until she’s 6 months or more, due to her being so tiny. *sigh* That means waiting longer to get her a husbun ![]()
