My bun comes up to me and sniffs me when i am with him and will sit on me if i have food, and when I walk by his cage he is always wanting to get petted but when I let him out of his cage he just hops around and wont sit still. I pet him sometimes and he even purrs ocasionally but most of the time hes just exploring even though I have had him for a little over 2 months, I was wondering if this is just his personality or if i could do something to make him like me more

p.s. he also rubs his chin on my feet and only my feet what does this mean

        thanks

My bun does the same thing alot of the time. When she’s Out, its HER time, not mine! She’ll come to me if she feels like it, but otherwise its play time, not pet time in her mind

The rubbing of the chin is her marking her territory. In other words, those aren’t your feet, they are His. Get used to it

One of my rabbits will always hop away and doesn’t like being touched very much. He does, however, jump up in my lap and sit there for a while. If I dare pet him, he’s off again. It may change over time or it may not. Each bun has its quirks.

With my buns it depends on the time of day & their mood.
If it is play time – they they will give me plenty of “bunny head butts” & “chin rubs”, they will climb on me, Kay likes to sit on my back – but they don’t want pets.
If it is quite time – pets are welcome!!
