I should change their names to Bonnie and Clyde!  I came upstairs tonight after work and I noticed that the bunny pen’s bottom latch was open, there’s still a carabiner clip on there but the clamp was taken off the bottom..so I go in there and sure enough..no bunnies in the pen!  I could hear something under the bed and sure enough..they were down under the bed having a good ole time!  Drue was fairly easy to catch..he came right out to see my like “oh hi! we’re playin’!” and I tried to shoo him into the pen but he hopped back under the bed to see his woman..he’s not so bright though LOL and when I said “Druebee Drue???” he hopped back out to me LOL and that time I was able to herd him back to the pen, then Mike starts laughing and said “he’s already flopped down and is watching you try to get Tucker” and I turned around and sure enough yep as soon as he got back in he laid down and was looking right at me like it was very entertaining to watch me try to catch Tucker.  Tucker came out and ran around me and back under the bed quite a few times before she finally jumped into a box (it’s a high day bed so it’s about 16 inches tall under there) and I was able to slide the box out and she was frozen for a moment while I did that and that scary ride was enough to make her hop back into her pen to be with Drue..she went right in and started grooming him.  Maybe she was thanking him for being  the brawn behind the operation of getting them out??? I’m fairly certain knowing Drue that he wasn’t the brains teehee!   I think both of them were pretty proud of themselves for pulling it off though..they both laid down pretty smugly and just watched me figure out how to bunny proof their door a bit more!

I now have a solid fence of grids that goes across the gate area and latches around the corners of the pen so they’d need to now break loose from three clamps and a huge carabiner clip and if they DO get the clamps done they’d have to somehow have the strength to push the other grids out of the way so that they could squeeze through the carabiner part..so I’m pretty certain they’ll be confined in there.  The good news was though that they didn’t do any damage to the carpet in there..this is very good news as I would ideally like to start bringing them downstairs and not chewing the carpet is a very good start!

Sounds like they had a good time.
