Bugs makes noises in his sleep, like a litter of newborn birdchicks’ noises. He does it throughout his sleeping periods and he doesn’t stop until he wakes up. Lint will soometimes do it a little, but nothing like Bugs. First, I was ready to take him to the vet, I really thought he was sick. He is very comfortably flopped and just squeaks along in his bunny dream, I guess?!

My rabbit Mango is very vocal. He snores, he snorts, he grunts, he thumps. I love hearing all his vocalizations and he’s loud too. None of my other rabbits are like this – I have a few thumpers but only one snorer.

When think about how to describe it, Bugs’ is a little like when they record whale communication under water! LOL!

OH thats funny.   Can you get a video of it?

Ruby squeaks a little sort of like a whistly sound when she is enjoying her pettings.  She sometimes does tooth purrs too.  But nothing like your Bugs.  Underwater whale singer.

I’ll try… the noises are faint, you have to get really close to Bugs to pick them up and every time I put the camera in his face he wakes up!

Can you put the video camera on a chair next to the cage and just start it while he goes to sleep? It could catch the sound at least.

Coco is a wicked snorer. Squeaks, honks – its hysterical.

Next time I think of it, I’ll try to record it.

These are Bugs’ sleeping noises. It’s pretty consistent, he does it in every sleep!

LOL I noticed that in him before-at first I wasn’t sure who was doing it. I thought he was kind of ‘mumbling’ to himself-which I’ve heard other buns do-especially Chuck when he eats

Oh cute! It sounds like snoring to me. Sometimes I hear Mango snoring on the other end of the house.

KK: I forgot you knew Bugs (formerly Bunbun from Hoppy Endings). Maybe we should clarify: he was at your rescue, adopted out to a friend of mine who left him with me for bonding to some other rabbits!

                                Mac, forgive me….

Sarita: You mean you can hear Mango’s snoring from far away? That’s pretty loud!

So cute!! Wonder if it comes from the mouth or nose?
