Well this morning was Mimzy’s last Pen-G shot…WOOHOO!  *does a happy dance* As far as I can tell, he’s not sneezing anywhere near as much as he was two and a half weeks ago and I don’t see any more goobers coming out of his nose. So cross your fingers that he’s cured!

My husband deserves major kudos. He did a great job with Mimzy and I am so glad he was here to do this for me. I would never have been able to handle it myself, I am SUCH a wuss!

Of course, now I’m putting drops in Fiver’s ears for 14 days. *ugh* But that’s easysqueezylemonpeasy compared to having to watch the hubby stick my poor bun between the shoulders blades every third morning for all this time. (Mimzy took it like a pro, but I was always dissolved into a lather by the time it was done.)

And my dog is doing so well, that he’s not getting any more pain meds unless we absolutely have to. It definitely doesn’t agree with his stomach. Thank God I learned here that you can feed an animal canned plain pumpkin to stop diarrhea or he’d be back at the vet today!

So that’s the update on my crew. *passes around the champagne….I mean champers *

Hi everyone! Well, all bunnies are doing well. It’s suddenly turned to fall here as of this weekend, when a large cold front came through here and brought a good deal of rain. (Thank goodness, most of the smoke has cleared out from the wildfires!) So we’re expecting our first frost tonight and that means no more open windows all day anymore. It’s windy and chilly air out there now. Boo.
Mimzy appears relatively well, but I hear him making snuffly noises when grooming and I’ve heard a few sneezes since we finished the shots. No real goobers to speak of, but I guess I was hoping it was going to completely take care of the problem. Somehow, I feel we’ve still got an issue.
Until I see anything running copiously from that nose though, he won’t be going back to the vet.
Fiver is still on his anti fungal for his ears, I’ve got about a week left of that. If anything changes significantly, we’ll put a call in.
Thanks for all the good wishes folks!

OH Mimz  now I have to give Cotton shots.    I know how you feel.   I got to practice at the vets and got it right the first time.  My stomache was in an uproar butterflies nausea.    I am not gona like this.  Cotton sat like he didn’t feel a thing.  Phew.

Their skin is tight too.  Hard to get a big pinch pulled up to get the needle in.   Hard to see too with the hair they have.

Poor little Cotton is going to be a pincushion for 7 days.   He took it in stride yesterday.

The assistant was holding him and his eye was bugging out his head.  I had to move her hand and pet him for a little.  I couldn’t give him a shot with him looking at me like that.

Oh dear! I know that bug-eyed look! It’s the one I get when it’s time to flush Fiver’s ears with that ketoconazole stuff! 0_o I hate to see him so scared, though he knows I’m not going to hurt him, but he has such a nasty past with little kids pulling on his ears or grabbing him when he didn’t want to be grabbed and stuff. It really gets to me that the bunnies are so easily frightened, I wish I could make them feel less afraid.

Sending more healing and happy vibes for easy shots and many nose rubs afterwards to you!

IT would be so much nicer if they could understand why we are doing these things to them.

I dunno, BT, I think my bunnies get it pretty well. They don’t have to like it, heck, I wouldn’t, but I try to make them understand. I know they don’t know what I’m saying, but the tone of our voices should help them feel at least a little better, you know?
Cotton Boo knows you love him. Why look at all the time you spend on him to make him comfortable and well! He must know how you dote on him.

You are a wonderful bunny mum.
