That looks fantastic and Doc looks like he is enjoying it too. Congratulations :~)

I might just put the water bottle up a little higher if you can do that.

Doc is turning into a gorgeous rabbit.

That’s really nice. I liked your other post with the pix of you and your Dad working together.

One suggestion (Isn’t there always?): A wire cage bottom isn’t good for a bunnies feet over time, but there’s some great stuff called Coroplast that is often used for flooring
in cages. It’s the plastic stuff signs are made of, and there’s a guy on Ebay that sells sets of it already cut in multiple colors. Or try a local sign shop. Anyway, without wire your bunny
will just use the litter pan more instead of pooping through the wire, and it will end up being easier to clean and to get him trained.

            He is sooooooooo cute!

It looks good- but I agree with RabbitPam- wire floors are terrible for their feet.  And it would be better to teach that a litterbox is a specific potty area- rather than the whole enclosure is a potty area.  You could still use the bottom pan as basically a grated litter pan- but it should only be a litterbox sized area.

I can’t tell from the pics- but it looks like the waterbottle is mounted inside the cage?  I would mount it outside the cage with the nozzle poking thru the gaps in the chicken wire.  All it would take would be a hard enough nibble to puncture the bottle- and a leak on any size will cause it to lose pressure and all the water will leak out.  So it is best to keep the bottle portion away if possible.

It is awesome that you Dad helped you make that!

That’s so neat how the side opens out like that. Good thinking! At 1st glance I thought it might be a lift top style. Lots of wood for him to gnaw on to….which is a good thing.
You might be making a few more now for rellies and friends!

wow thats nice.   You 2 do good construction together.  Nice to have a Dad who can do things like that.    I love the way the door opens too.

You are so lucky to have some woodworking/building talent.  When I needed a step/ramp for Cotton’s previous cage set up that was an ordeal enough with my husband to make that!

That is a well-constructed cage! Very good idea to have it open out rather than up! You even have wheels on the bottom for easy moving/cleaning!

If I may critique it a bit.

First off, love the shape of it, it gives him some running room if he feels like a sudden zoom is in order.

I would put the water bottle outside of the cage and higher – that way it is easier to change and the bun doesn’t have to bend down so far to drink from it.

Like others have said, I’d put in a hard floor instead of wire as it can injure the feet. I’d try a litter box inside – see how quickly he takes to it. Put it near his hay and food as they like to eat and poop at the same time.
