We adopted Chloe about a month ago. She’s adjusted well except for the peeing and popping, but that’s for another post.

Anyway, she binkies around a lot. She lets us pick her up without struggling or trying to get away. She’ll stay on my lap for as long as I let her, but sometimes, she’ll hop away and back into her cage. If I’m sitting in the living room and she’s binkying around, she’ll come up to me and sniff me. She’s let me actually kiss her nose several times and has no problems with me getting down to her level and being extremely near her. I love her so much and I think she’s doing ok. What do you think? You think she’s a happy bunny?

It’s my first time being a bunny owner and I am completely smitten by her!

She sounds pretty happy to me! It seems like she’s really comfortable and is even seeking you out for attention. Good job, new bunny mom 😉

Gosh Chole sounds so sweet. When they binky -they are happy. She seems to be very happy from your post. My buns have times during the day when they are sleepy where they don’t want to be bothered and if I bother them they hop away. So usually when the hop away -just back off for a bit…could be anything, even the small of certain hand soaps will make them hop away. It took me just about a full year to get my 2 unbonded to each other females to completely trust me and even now if they think I have eye drops or meds they will run from me. But with rabbits it can take a long time for them to know you won’t hurt them and to not be afraid or cautious all the time. Keep up the good work and there is no love like the love from a bun…….
