My mom and I on separate occasions have seen Bambi doing this weird head jerking thing that seems to be involuntary. He jerks his head up, and it looks like he’s hiccuping! Is this right, or does my bun need to be seen? I’m kind of worried about him. We have a 6 hour car ride in a week, and I definitely don’t want him to be sick for it.

          Yes, bunnies can get hiccups.

It wouldn’t be a bad idea to get him a little check up before the trip anyway. You can ask the vet, have her look him over, trim his nails, and get any advice on what you should take on the trip. Kind of like tuning up your car. Nothing is really wrong, but it makes it easier to be sure nothing will go wrong if you check him out first.

I wondered this as well. That is a relief. Myracle would hiccup a lot after I fed her. I’m glad that it wasn’t a sign of a problem.

               Yeah, same.
