You all bring up a very good point. I had not really thought about how this will up guinea pig sales. Now I feel bad about posting it.
I truly hope this does not end in many piggies needing forever homes, that would be terrible!
I suppose a good statement would be made to discourage patronage of movies like this to perhaps show with our dollars that we won’t tolerate the exploitation of small furry animals (even in CG). But it’s sad that kids aren’t being taught the proper way to view such creatures, present company who will guide their children correctly excluded of course.
I am also glad it’s not a movie about rabbits. I dread the day Disney gets the rights to remake Watership Down actually…which I am sure they will probably do someday. >.<
I am hoping to see the Harry Potter movie with my daughter here soon. Not sure the hubby and son are going to be interested in it, so they’ll probably go off and see something else while we are there.
