Kaow, my 9 month old lop male tends to follow me around every time I let him out of his cage.  When I stop and stand still he will circle around my legs endlessly.  It’s really cute!  Does anyone know what this means?  I just recently moved to California, he never did this while we lived in Virginia.

Is Kaow fixed? He might be preparing to mount if he hasn’t been. 9 months seems a little late for rabbit puberty, but anything is possible! If he has been, then it could be that he is finding comfort in being close to you as he is nervous in his new territory. Does he run around you the entire time he is out of his cage, or just at first? If it’s just at first, then it certainly could be just an excitement thing too, and absolutely nothing to worry about! Do you give him treats when you first let him out? Or did you when you lived in Virginia? Is the flooring different (carpet to hardwood, ect)?

Sounds like he’s claiming you. Also, they sometimes they do this too when waiting for a treat. It’s cute all the same!
