Max might be laying down some territorial poops…my bunny Raymond does this ALLLL the time, and they are pretty stinky. Do you notice that these poops have a bit of a sheen to them? Or seem to have a shiny coating to them as opposed to the normal poops? If so, then these are territorial poops that he is using to mark an area.

The only food that I have heard specifically makes bunny poops stinkier is basil – have they had any of that lately? I’ve given it to my bunnies and have not noticed a difference, but it probably just depends on the bunny and the amount.

i have noticed some shinier poops! that would definitely make sense. i know he’s been doing the territorial pooping, but it never occurred to me to link the two together- the poops outside of the litterbox mixed with stinkies.
thanks moo bunnay! what do you do when raymond does this?

It kind of has a skunky smell.  I haven’t heard of food making stinky poop but I heard of food affecting urine color and odor
