          Oh, he’s cute. Purring is a sign of contentment. It’s a good thing.

            Oh okay, so its normal to hear it pretty much 95 5 of the time you pet him on the head/cheek?

                That’s how my bun is. It does not indicate laziness, just happiness.

                  I think that bunnies really prefer to be pet on the head, cheek, and shoulders. My bunnies (all 8 of them) do not like to be touched on the feet or the bum.

                    As Moobunnay said, cheeks and head are fave spot because this is where they groom one another so it’s sort of a bonding and social thing to do with your bun. I’ve noticed the rabbits don’t take too kindly to another rabbit touching feet and rear also, not just us doing that. Guess it means something else…

                      My buns do the same thing. They love having their cheeks rubbed and then I can feel their teeth vibrate. It’s very sweet. He is such a cute bunny!

                        Mine enjoy a little eye rubbing too.  Real soft and gentle like.

                          I have no idea what a tooth purr is.

                            @tabalab: it’s when you  pet them in the head/cheek and they make a soft teeth grind sound.

                            @others   :  alright thanks guys.
