My rabbit Spot who is about 5 months old suddenly got very scared, he’s running around the cage thumbing his feet, his eyes are very big and he won’t let anyone touch him. He’s eating fine and running so I don’t think he’s hurt, this started about an hour or less ago and I have no idea what is going on. Like I said i don’t think he’s hurt, he is eating and drinking.

Nothing drastic has changed in the room or in his cage, this just suddenly happened.

He probably heard/hears something that you cannot, bunnys have very good hearing. My bunny does this if she hears a strange noise, Maybe someone far away is mowing their lawn? It will probably go away eventually, whatever is making your bunny scared.

Around where I live you hear mowers, dogs barking as the person next door has 3 but he’s never acted like this before, even when the music is loud or the vacuum is turned on he’s never done this and my other rabbit Phoebo is terrified of the vacuum,

Spot has always been very calm and loves to be held and right now he’s freaking out if someone gets too close.

My buns will do this sometimes and just bolt around the cage, eyes all bugged out, she won’t let you touch her. After a while she calms back down, but doesnt affect her eating or anything like that, just got spooked!

Glad he calmed down! This happens most with my girl, she does it maybe a few times a month maybe less than that even.

I wish i knew what scared him, he was the only one out of the eight to freak out, my mom thinks Phoebo biting in the cage next door might have done it but I don’t think so because Phoebo is always biting on his cage bars. He’s calm now and living in moms room, it’ll be awhile before she’s ready to put him with the others, he really scared her.

When that happens to Delilah she is the only one too, my other two dont do a thing. He will be good, maybe he needs some alone ‘Spot’ time. hehe

It definitely sounds like something spooked him. Once my bunny Martin followed me into my closet and a sweater fell off the top shelf and almost landed on him. He freaked out so bad I thought he was really going to hurt himself. He sprinted around the room at least 20 times before wedging himself in about a 1 inch wide space between my desk and the wall!
