I have FINALLY finished Bunny’s cage, at least temporarily until I figure out how I’m going to add a second level.  I did end up using an 8 panel ex-pen instead of the cube panels and it was so much easier.  Pictures are worth a thousand words so here they are!  His cage is 2ft x 6ft x 3ft.

I haven’t seen x-pens used like that, on a movable base. How clever! Did they come with tops?
You could make a second level halfway up the pen wall using dowel and wood board then put a lid on the top. You can also make lids out of cube grids though.
Bunny certainly keeps his habitat clean doesn’t he… I have 2 of those white tubs (litterboxes) no longer in use. I never though to use them with entry on the long side.
I think I just may be a ble to put them to use again now – Thanks!

Ex-pens do come with tops but I’ve only seen them for the 4ft x 4ft cube shape. And Bunny is not nearly that clean. Those pictures were taken before I had even filled his litter box and added his water, hay, toys, etc. He seems kind of nervous about the new cage but I’m sure he’ll settle quickly. And I think the litter box is my favorite part of his cage. I drilled holes then put a zip tie and dog clip through so Bunny can’t drag it around and the only thing I have to do to dump it is unclip it from the cage bars.
