=P bunnytowne, haven’t you got a young little niece or someone who can do this for you
Here’s a way to think of it:
“gb” (eg., 160gb in the pink one you’re thinking about) relates to the amount of pictures and movies and songs and word documents you want to be able to hold (160 is plenty for you)
“memory” (eg, 3gb or ‘ram’) is how many things you want to be able to do at once (if you want to play sims or other video games you need a lot of ram)… it doesn’t actually have anything to do with how much you can store on your computer. it’s like your computer’s ability to remember the task it’s doing…. the more memory it has, the more able it is to remember a lot of thing
GHz is how fast your computer can do the things it’s doing… so once you’ve told it to do some stuff (the stuff that it remembers in its ‘memory’) how fast it completes each of those tasks depends on the GHz.
For all of these, more is better.
You want at least:
80gb hard drive (you could go with 60gb, which is less, but I think you like to take a lot of pictures?)
2gb ram
2ghz hard drive
And remember if you want to go online with your laptop you’ll either need to have it plugged into your internet in the wall or you’ll need to get a wireless router.
