I have now completed two treatments for Holly.  It isn’t pleasant or fun for either one of us.  She acts more comfortable though.  She even came a running when I gave her her greens.  I’m still concerned but I can breathe a little easier now that I know what to do for her.

She is eating better?   Yes giving them treatments can be challenging.  Glad she is doing better.

Yeah Holly!  My bunnies might get mad at me but they always accept food bribes!

So glad to hear she’s doing better.

              (Banana bribes? Yum!)

I’m glad to hear the treatments are working. I definitely eventually got much closer with my bunnies after treating them by force feeding, or injections, or anything like that, I think in the end they know that you are just trying to help them out. I always give a treat right after anything like administering medication, or nail trimming or even brushing so that they associate me with something good at the end I saw in your other post that the vet said no hay in the litterbox – did he mention the reasoning? I am wondering because I have hay in my bunny’s litterbox and I hope its not dangerous!

Another spot opened today. This time in her dewlap. I just treated it the way the vet told me to treat the other spot. Poor Holly.

MooBunnay, The vet asked me if I was giving Holly plenty of Hay. I said that I was. I have a box in her enclosure full of it. I also have it in her litter boxes. I said that even though I had it in these spots she really wasn’t eating it. It wasn’t really any thing dangerous. It was just maybe if I had it only one place I’d see her eating it more and I have. Also I think it had to do with bunny bathroom etiquette.

Poor Holly and poor you! >.< Another spot opening? Does that mean it's all draining faster now?

I do wonder…you know, bribes are all well and good…but does the extra sugary stuff mess with a bunny’s immune system the way it does with a human’s? I just know when I was into holistic medicine that I always had to avoid sugar of any kind when I was ill. Now of course, not every yummy treat you can give a bunny has sugar in it…but I was thinking about that after Pam said something about bananas….
                      Just a thought.
I will send continued healing vibes and I do hope this all clears up quickly and things get back to normal for you all. (((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))
