I was sitting on the throne if you know what I mean and all of a sudden I notice a shadow coming under the door. At first I think it’s a cats paw or something, but instead it’s a mouse! It got about halfway towards the sink before turning around and running back out. I just kind of sat there dumbfounded as with 8 cats you don’t really expect to see those sorts of things, let alone while sitting on the loo. There is a small dog sized hole in our wall though due to my mom slowly putting in a dog door. This just proves my point that she should have got it all done in one day…

When I was, little we had 2 cats that would go down  into our basement and catch a mouse. They would then bring the mouse upstairs and play with it. Once they were done playing with it – they would just let it go   – they were well fed cats. As a result we had mice all over our house.

My brothers and I would set up all kinds of traps to catch the mice. Then my dad would take them out side and let them go.

It was not till about 20 years later that my dad admitted to me that he would actual “dispose” of the mice.

Awe, that’s so sad Sage Cat. Right now we haven’t set up our have a heart traps, but we don’t know where it actually is staying yet. Undoubtedly it will probably be the kitchen, so until then we’ll just see if it turns up again.

when I was a little kid we had two cats and they had this mouse between them, and it was running back and forth. It was a lazy mouse. We just put a little container out and nudged him into it. Then I took him out to a field and he ran away.

Oh my goodness! Your cats must be lazy 😉

I’ve owned gerbils for many years and love rodents, but wild mice kind of freak me out!

Well, let’s see, let me name them all and think about their personalities.

Fantasia (Fanta): Obese, lazy, only catches escaped crickets (for the Bearded Dragon) and hair scrunchies.
Gizmo: Thinks he’s a dog. Also lazy. Only chases his half-sister away.
Charm (Gizmo’s half sister): Kind of lives with the neighbors now. Best hunter we have. Doesn’t come in the house except in extreme weather conditions.
Bon-bon: Mother, midget, and lives with the chickens. Doesn’t come in the house as she loves the coops.
Merry (son of Bon-bon): Small, lives in the front yard, only hunts insects.
Pippin (son of Bon-bon): Lazy, large, sleeps all day.
                          Violet: Scared of everything. Literally.
Old-cat (Zombie Cat, Gandhi, ect): At 23 years old we’re just amazed he gets out of bed in the morning.

So yeah, I suppose we do just have a bunch of lazy cats! Oh well, I’d rather lazy than hyper.

Lol I like that the old one’s called Old-cat… did he never have a name? He’s older than I am! Zombie cat is another good name.  Is he that wild type of feral cat with the long fur and the bobbed tail?  We had a cat like that in my family, and her kittens (they kept coming to my nana’s door).  The mother cat just died like two years ago and she was in my nana’s house from the time I was a baby (no telling how old she was when she got there).  Some of her kittens, who were born when I was two or three, are still alive.

Also… Bon-bon’s story is funny. “Lives with the chickens.” Ha. A funny phrase and a funny image.
