AWE!!!! Well, you will get full understanding here that’s for sure!! Look at chubs, how cuuuuute! We totally get it! When you have bunny in your home with you, and interacting with you, well it’s a whole different wonderful experience. I think many people who don’t know about rabbits or only have memories from fairs or hutches can understand why a rabbit would be all that exciting. Cute yes, but fun and something to be that excited about? Welcome to world of bunny slaves. You have been sucked in and you will never be able to leave now. (evil laugh, rubbing hands together)

Along with the love, they can bring challenges, but that’s what we are here for so we can help each other because in the end, we know the truth – bunnies are amazing.

Arrr he is lovely, they are adorable arent they, peppa and georgie my two are currently back in their pen having a lie down after spending all morning running around and messing the place up lol. Was just telling my husband that they spend as much time and effort messing as we do cleaning lol xx They dont really make that much mess, but was funny to see that after i cleaned all their pen etc and hoovered they were laid down all tired like they had been soooo busy lol xx

I don’t have children, but my parents got to know more and more about my bunnies, and eventually call them Grandbunnies.
Now my mother’s lady friends who play bridge with her always ask after my bunny. It’s really cute.

Everytime I have told someone about my bun (new rabbit owner too) they tell me about some rabbit they had as a kid that lived outside in a hutch and died, or one they let out in the yard and found it covered in fleas. I wonder why people tell me about the bad things they have done to rabbits? Do they think that makes them look good? *shakes head*

No one can believe that I have a rabbit inside, that roams, and has a huge condo.

So cool that Chubs is getting snuggly! I’m way jealous as my bun doesn’t have much interaction with me…but he does show off his love with binkies.

My mom has my kids to show off pictures with….but she would rather show this picture to all her friends!

Are you kidding me? Chubs is so adorable I talk about him all the time! I think if my Mimzy and Pip could’ve had kits, they would come out looking like Chubs.
I have to admit though, before that first pic came in all the way I was like, “OMG, is that a SNAKE in the picture with him? He looks like he just killed it too…” lolz. But it was only a dead leash. *whew!*

lmao…You can tell I haven’t had enough coffee yet today. rofl…xD

He is the most precious little bun though. Is he playing in the snow in that last piccy? I meant to bring more snow in for my bunnies this last winter, but I didn’t manage it. It seemed like every time I went out to get some, it was already all dirty from dogs and birds and such. Mimzy likes it, but I’m not sure about the other two.

So looks like a Pip/Mimzy hybrid! Said it before – he’s so darn cute! It’s no wonder you’re so taken by him. As time goes by….you’ll come to realise you’re his slave also….as the rest of us have with our buns. Personally I don’t think honeymoon period ever really ends ( though the endless litterbox cleaning does make you wonder). You just continue to be taken is as they are so endearing.

Well, when I was a kid my rabbit lived outside. Actually when we first got him 40 odd years ago, we tried to litter box train him and let him live in the house; but he ate the wire to t he stereo and he went outside. But, he lived a long life. He was 12 when he died.

My parent’s visited me about 5 years ago and my mother told my boss” Do you know she has rabbits in the house?”

i totally get what you mean about always wanting to talk about your bun. lol. i really try my hardest to not overwhelm my non-bunny friends with rabbity things and such. thats just another reason why this site / forum is so fabulous!

oh and ps… i take pinky on the porch for grooming with a leash but only for very short always supervised periods of time. if i have to step inside for a sec i pick her up and take her too. after coming upon my old neighbor’s cat already succumbed to the jaws of a stray dog *shudders* i’m waaay too paranoid about leaving her unattended for any amount of time.

What a cutie!!!! Your story reminds me exactly of how I felt when I got my first rabbit Stormy (the mini-rex in my avatar). And thanks to that little guy I’m a full blown bunny nut!!!

oh my god! he is sooooooo cute! i have the same problem i talk about my rabbit so much that my mom finally says to stop talking about him. i am totally hooked on rabbits!

Oh he is adorable!
Even my brothers – one has 2 dogs & 3 cats, the other has 5 dogs & 4 cats – are a little baffled as to why I have rabbits. However, they tell people all the time that I have them.
My favorite comment is – “But they don’t do any thing!”
