I have been gone most of the day today running errands. I had the bunnies in their pens when I left because Marshmallow is having litterbox issues and I didn’t want to take a chance with one of the dogs getting in the room while I wasn’t home.

But of course the felon (Marshmallow) somehow managed to pop one of the clips off her pen door escaping lol. I had a new bag of bunny food and a box of hay in the storage area under my tv which has a child safety lock on it so my little cousins can’t get to anything. She managed to BREAK the safety lock!

I came in the house and all I could smell was hay and I knew I just knew what happened. I opened my bedroom door and Oh My God the hay (25 lb box to be exact) was EVERYWHERE! I mean it was on the bed under the bed on the tv(???) I couldn’t even see Pacey for the hay stuck to him in his pen, on my ceiling fan (yeah explain that) in my closet where the door was closed and all over my ferrets in said closet and all in my newly cleaned aquariums.

Oh that’s not all lol. She ripped open the new bag of food and proceeded to use that as a litterbox. And my bed and floor had mashed up bunny poo. Then I look over and there is this sticky wet nastiness puddle on my nightstand that  was just dripping onto my new rug lol.

It took me 4 hours, a shovel, 3 vacuums, a brush to scrape poo and hay out of my carpet, and a ton of brushing for poor poor Pacey to get my room liveable again lol.

And guess where Marshmallow is? Flopped over in the box she decided would be fun to break into while I was not home

I am exhausted to say the least lol

LOL, I’m sorry but that’s just tooooo funny.

How much “time” is the little “felon” going to get. Are you sure it was Marshmallow? Have any reliable eye witnesses? Maybe Marshmallow was framed. Does Marshmallow need a good lawyer? Time off for good behavior? Parole if rehabilitated?

          Still giggling here.

Edit to ad: Did you get any pictures to submit for evidence?

Lol no pictures I was too horrified to think of my camera.  I didn’t know it was on the ceiling fan until some smacked me in the face still don’t know how it managed to get there unless she like flung the box or something lol.

Her cage is now reinforced with 12 clips instead of 4! Hopefully she doesn’t decide she can jump 4 feet in the air

I always have this luck with animals 2 of my dogs as puppies ripped apart my mattress leaving only springs and then they proceeded to tear and entire wall out while I was not home. Had I only known what a crate was then lol.

My 2nd dog ripped my new car’s (well my mom’s car since I was only 11) interior into a million pieces as a puppy on the way home from Ohio.

My 1st dog was a digger and I left her out too long and she dug a hole so big I had to pay out of my then allowance to have a TRUCK load of dirt to fill the hole.

My first rat escaped his cage when I was at school and chewed off all of the plugs to all of my electrical things lucky for him I unplugged everything every morning then.

When I was little I had a cat who ripped our christmas tree into shreds.

So yeah this really shouldn’t have been a surprise to me LOL

eta: yes I am positive it was Marshmallow she is a sneaky little trouble maker if you are in the room she is little miss innocent but as soon as you leave her horns come out and she will get into any trouble she can then you walk in and she is like “whaaat? you left me alone what did you expect to happen!”

I think a name change may be in order! What I love most is you have a sense of humour about it all. I will now complain less about the minimal scattering of hay at my place out of respect.
Hay on the fan? Maybe she kicked up her heels and did a song and dance number “Food! Glor-ious Food!” ?

Well, for years to come both you and Marshmallow will have a great war story to tell! “Yup. There I was all alone. Mom had abandoned me! Luckily, I had my handy wild genes still on me and I managed. I foraged! I fought fierce, wild locks! I even had to take on a ceiling fan! Maaaaaan, you kids nowadays have it soft!”

Lol if it isn’t serious I will find the funny in anything just the way I am my dad and grandpa instilled that into me

I know it’s like she knows her name is Marshmallow (sweet and soft) so she thinks she can get away with anything lol. Should have named her Bonnie (of Bonnie and Clyde) little criminal lol steals everything she can get in her mouth and can con her way out of anything.

Awww, haha… that does sound like a giant mess and a smart little bun! She knew what she wanted to do! I once had a horse that got into the tack room with the food and proceeding on eating the entire can of food! Thankfully, he was okay!

Son is marshmallow the while one in your pic??? If so she looks like she is laughing at you lol
We left our bunnies in our living room once with no protection on the sofa and you are prob imagining lots of poop, but it was worse they ripped the stuffing out of it during the night and the room was just covered in foam pieces like it had snowed. We were sooooo shocked when we opened the door, think i might have mentioned the time they flooded the kitchen by chewing through the washing machine tube once too. They were all stood far back on the only dry section of the kitchen floor… and they really do have that “what you looking at me for …’ expression dont they. You poor thing what a nightmare, i think i might have screamed alot before starting to clear it up xxx

Yeah Marshmallow is the white bunny. I wouldn’t doubt her laughing at me lol. She did not appreciate the 12 clips so she rattled the cage most of the night…

Ok I probably wouldn’t have laughed as much had she flooded my kitchen floor lol. Had that happen once due to my mom pulling the washer out before the water was turned off now that was fun to clean up!

Oh my.   What a troublemaker.   When Spar was a puppy she made a chewed up mess under the xmas tree.

I left her out of her crate to see how she would do.  Went to the store came home saw foam all over.  The closer I got to the livign room the more foam I saw.   Little brat she chewed a corner of the couch cushion.  lol.   I was only gone 1 hr.

Well back to the crate she went when we left the house.

                                    Marshmellow gets the prize tho.

Just looking at the pic in your siggy of Marshmallow I couldn’t be mad at her. “Sweet and soft”…. !

plus, haven’t your dogs done worse if I remember correctly? OK, maybe not ‘worse’. but close.

what kind of clips are you using to hold her pen shut? (just asking so I know which clips those are that smart bunnies can open)

Oh, that is too funny. I cannot believe that sweet innocent Ms. Marshmallow caused all that chaos. It actually sounds like something out of a Walt Disney comedy. The little rascal!

Oh my. I think I would have cried. A couple of weeks ago, I was gone the whole weekend for a theatre competion. When I got home, I saw there was a lot of missing carpet under my bed. I guess Flopsey got mad and decided to take it out on the carpet lol. I had to pay to get it replaced.

I now keep the hay and stuff in a different room since she can amazingly break baby safety locks on my storage area lol.

I use Bolt Snaps to hold her door shut they are working well so far she still tries to dig or shove her head through them though lol
