Post a pic!
Mine…
He reminds me of Stormy!!!! I’m actually thinking of getting a Thumper tattoo announcing to the world once and for all that I am a huge bunny nerd . My local drugstore always gets the new Disney’s Bunnies Kids books and I always have to take a look at them. Maybe I should have kids so I won’t feel like such an idiot loving really cute rabbit stuff!
Thumper is also one of my favorites too!
I love the muppets, so Bean the bunny is another one of my favorite bunny characters
Oh gosh…SO many! (not necessarily in the following order)
I love Japanese anime and manga bunny characters…
Buneary from Pokemon
Ryo-Ohki from Tenchi Muyo
Wiz (With) from D.N.Angel
I also like Mokona/Modoki (from CLAMP)
And the Sanrio bunny character named Kuromi is a great goth bunny!
Oh…*blush* And that little kids book with all the Thumper pictures in it? I bought that. (hangs head in shame)
I have a couple of the Thumper books but I have been using the ‘teacher’ excuse for why I have them (I read them to my class… they love them). 🙂
Benjamin Bunny & Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter are my favorites besides Thumper.
(Of course Beatrix’s Benjamin was the inspiration for my baby boy’s name)
I forgot about Bean! He’s so cute.
I had no idea that bunnies were so popular in anime! I love the bunnies with jewels on their foreheads!
I love Peter Rabbit too but actually never read the book. I’m gonna have to buy it for my niece as an excuse! I was excited to see a pattern for Peter Rabbit in my new cross stitch magazine. I can’t wait to do it and hang it in the rabbit room!
I Loved The Velveteen Rabbit when I was a kid. Such a good story.
And then there’s this Book I just read recently at Barnes and Noble.. but it is soooo cute, I love it.
It’s called Guess How Much I Love You? I love the drawings.
And I used to watch Adventures of The Little Koala when I was very little.. there are twin rabbits names Mimi and Floppy.
They were the best friends of the main character and his sister. Floppy always has headphones on.
Velveteen Rabbit…gosh, read that to my kids but hadn’t heard of it till then. That IS a good one! ^_^
I love “Guess How Much I Love You” …I have a teacup with the pictures on it.
Of course any Beatrix Potter is well loved in my house. Plus the little alien rabbit, Beegu.
There was a great bunny book when I was a kid called Bunny Blue. It was about a little stuffed rabbit who’d lost his pink bow that was around his neck and he spent all day looking for it, finally finding it in the bottom of the toy box.
Anybody like the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland?
Or the March Hare?
I swear Pippi is related to that nutty bunny!
I don’t have any pics, but I’m a huge fan of Happy Bunny. Sure, she’s got an attitude problem, but that doesn’t stop her from being adorable. And I’m quite sarcastic, so she fits my sense of humor. I have a little blue one of her on my desk that says “hi, cram it.” It keeps me amused.
Oh Adalaide I have a whole calendar FULL of Happy Bunny! (Funny, I thought it was a ‘he?) My daughter constantly gets me books with HB in it. (one is a sudoku which goes right over my head, but the quotes are hilarious!) I even got one of those little Happy Bunny Voodoo doll kits at B&N when they came out…lolz. Not that I use it though…but the thought’s there.
One of my favorite HB quotes is on my pajamas that I got from my husband for Xmas one year, “I’m not spoiled, I deserve all my stuff.”
I also like, “It’s cute how you think I’m listening.” Such bunnitude! Even Pip can’t match that! ^_^
lolz…Hi…cram it! lolz…that’s one I haven’t seen. Funny as heck though! It’s like a button I saw once that said, “I have two speeds, zero and (the heck with it)! ^_^ (censoring the actual conclusion to that sentence)
Max and Ruby… they are characters from a book series by Rosemary Wells. My son LOVES Max and Ruby (they actually have a cartoon and DVDs also…) Very cute… Kind of gave inspiration for our Maxie Moo…
Cake – I wore out my copy of Pat the Bunny! And my mom was also a librarian!
I got a new book last year called Marshmallow – the author even did some awesome T-shirts (an illustration from the book) as a fund raiser for CO-HRS
Here is a link to amazon where you can “look inside” the book:
http://www.amazon.com/Marshmallow-Clare-Turlay-Newberry/dp/0060724862/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1245516373&sr=1-5
Oh but my all time favorite Bunny – from a book – has to be Hazel – so wise!
Cool book Sage
I almost forgot Miffy the bunny. They used to have a show on noggin and I loved watching it with my kids.
Well for starters, it’s not a character persay, but the rabbit of the Chinese Zodiac is special.
Then that leads me to my favorite manga character rabbit/person, Momiji.
Who could forget Bugs?
An all time favorite is the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland. This is the Disney version, but I especially love the original.
Speaking of Rabbit…
We all know here that Trix certainly aren’t for rabbits!
And who doesn’t remember those comercials?
For commercials we also have the never stopping Energizer Bunny!
It’s funny cause rabbit really do go crazy for cereal. haha. That commercial makes all the sense in the world now.
OH I DO love Momiji! I just didn’t have room to put another picture. For some reason, I can post five, but no more.
Miffy is cute too. I used to put it on just for Mimzy and Pip to listen to. (at least, that was my excuse…)
Aww…that Marshmallow bunny story looks so cute! How long ago were they selling t-shirts for the HRS? That would be one worth having!

.
I want one too!! I have a bunch of friends going in a few weeks to get tattoos together, and I want a small simply bunny. But I cant find any I like, and im a big chicken so I could back out at the last minute. The pain im not worried about, its the getting older and deciding I shouldnt have gotten one. Plus my dad would have a cow, but I could hide it.

Edit- somehow I messed up the whole quote thing
I’d love to get a bun tat…but the hubby would kill me.
I have the same reservations as you, Liz. And I’m almost 50, so the getting older is knocking at the door! xD
Yea, I like to think im practical and dont make impulse decisions, I dont want to regret it later. But I want one lol. I thought about just bringing in a picture of Rose and have them draw up something from that. Or at least have a small rose with the bunny. I have no hubby so no worries lol. My mom wouldnt care, my dad might not as much if I told him I lost a rabbit.
I’m so glad I brought up this topic~ I really enjoyed looking at all the pics!!!
I also love Happy Bunny. Sarcastic like me
And the Trix bunny! Am I the only one who used to get angry at those commercials?Just give him some darn cereal, his pic is on the box for crying out loud!!!
I’m also a big Alice in Wonderland fan!
BunnyLiz- I already have 3 tattoos but I made sure to get them in places I won’t regret later. Mine are my lower back and stomach. Never get it anywheres you might regret later, some employers are very anti tattoo so don’t get it anywheres they would see. I’m thinking my ankle or shoulder for Thumper.
Can they actually do white in a tattoo? I wouldn’t think so…. BunLiz are you thinking of an outline of Rose?
I can’t choose a fave bun character, but I love all the animal characters from the BBC Creature Comforts series.
Oh, and though not a childrens character, Killer Rabbit from Holy Grail is pretty funny / so pristine white – lol

Your not the only one that got mad at the commercials, I always felt bad for the bunny, when I was little I wanted to give him the cereal.
Jersey- Yes just an outline/sketch thing. Like if you select the “sketch” option on photobucket. That is IF I get one.

I forgot all about the Killer Rabbit! My husband’s a huge Monty Python fan.
ooh what about the rabbits from
Raymens Raving Rabbids?? ahaha i love these guys
Raymens Raving Rabbids… I ordered the Sims for wii from newegg and they accidentally sent me that new game that you can use your butt with too. So I got it for free! But I don’t really like it… and I don’t really like them. I don’t do well with what I call “dumb humor.” I love the whimsical looking bunnies soooo much though =)
Oh I love that someone else has mentioned video game rabbits…I actually just started my Legendary Starfy for DS today (although I’ve had it for about a week or more) and my new fave is Bunston, the little space bunny that has lost his memories and the object of the game is that Starfy is trying to get them back.
He makes some seriously funny faces!
Crayon – The Colorado HRS had their Spring Fling over the weekend. As the silent Auction I won a copy of “Guess How Much I Love You?” AND a set of cards illustrated by Anita Jerma – – – they are SOOOO ADORIABLE!!!!!!!!
Oh yea, the cards are signed!
Cool!!!
That’s great! Congrats on your prize SageCat!
I have this guy on my fridge:
But when I think of a rabbit image, I think of the black rabbit of Inle from the movie “Watership Down”.
It’s not because I’m morbid but because he is misunderstood. Before each and every one passes over the rainbow bridge, he is there to comfort them and show them the way. He lets them know that their loved ones will be all right and it is okey to return home now.
Okay, that makes me sad. Note to self : don’t watch Watership Down no matter how cute it looks!!!!
Sorry, I tend to have that effect on women… making them sad.
Does this count as a “character”? If so, then this is my all time favorite.
(my wife and our first bun Trix)
Hehe ok he isn’t the cutest cartoon bunny but for as long as I can remember my favorite bunny character is….
ROGER RABBIT!
Drum roll please!
TRRRRRRRRR!
BUGS BUNNY!!!!!
Sage Cat. I am a bit jeleous! I love playing cards and I somewhat collect them. I play cards ALL the time so I end up with jillions of warn out decks that I
just can’t throw out as well as the novelty ones I don’t play with. It is very cool that they are signed as well! ..very cool.
I do have some Happy Bunny playing cards
Oooo…Happy Bunny cards….*starts searching on Ebay*
Sage, those are adorable pictures! “Bouncy bunnies”…lolz…that would be my three landing on their noggins after falling off the sides of my bed! 0_o
I guess I see the Black Rabbit differently, probably because he’s been to our board so much lately. But I did tear up at the tender way he called Hazel at the end of the movie. And that Hazel called him ,”My Lord”…that gets you thinking.
It really is a wonderful movie, even for all it’s sad parts. I would encourage anyone to see it at least once.
Mr Bill – amazing likeness in tattoo………there you go BunLiz, very possible!
On the Black Rabbit – I wonder what the original description was? Did the original book have illustrations? I seem to recall it did…. It’s that image that probably really gives it the negative feel. Sort of Grim Reaper and Extra Terrestrial at the same time.
I have a more recent paperback of the book, but I haven’t finished it yet, and I don’t think it is illustrated except for the cover. But when I finally have to face the Angel of Death myself, I’d MUCH rather have it be a bunny, black, grim, E.T. or otherwise! ^_^
I have never seen a copy of the book with illustrations.
The Black Rabbit is some what feared but very respected. As Marcus said – he is gentle and comforts you as you travel on your journey.
I find the image very aztec/native american – I think that’s why I like it. I actually saw a picture of someone with it tattooed on their wrist and I have to admit that that photo is the first time I actually have considered getting inked.
Hoops and Yoyo!!! are hilarious Hallmark characters.
I agree, Mimzum…that would be the way to go…with a beloved bunny coming to get you
Guys! Im reading watership down, dont talk about it anymore lol. Hazel dies?!
Yep thats the kind of tattoo I was thinking about. Kind of like a portrait. Im 90% sure im getting one of Rose in a month now. Will have to be on my hip, or side, or rib cage in case I ever have to go swimming around my dad. I’ll post pictures when/if I get it.
I love Hoops & Yoyo too…they’re the cutest obnoxious pair I’ve seen to date! LOVE the online cards with them!
lolz…Liz, I guess you’re going to have to stay away from this thread then. I’ll not give anything else away. It really is a good story.
But ouch! A tat on your rib cage?? That’s going to smart! I’d go for the hip myself.
