My room has some rabbit damage, mostly chewed baseboards that I want to change. I have never done any home renovations. How do I take out the baseboards?

I imagine you would use a crowbar or something similar to pry them off the walls. Then you can sand and repaint, or just get new ones.

I think so too – you can always ask at the home improvement store as well, since you will have to go get new ones or paint your current ones anyway.

I’m going to go with wall paper and probably no baseboards since the rabbits are just going to destroy them again. Plus, when I want to get new flooring it will be easier without the baseboards. — Are the boards like glued on or how are they attached to the walls? .

I think it depends – some are glued, some are nailed. I’m not sure how a room would look without a baseboard – I’ve never seen that before.

ahem…that’s okay. i’m not into home decorating. I could live in an unfinished house. It’s just my animal room.

LOL :~) I totally understand. You can always put them on later if needed anyway.

Without baseboards or something to cover the bottom edge of the wallpaper- if the rabbits have access they will probably start peeling your wallpaper.

Mops as a baby bun chewed at the wall before I gave him boxes. I was starting him free-range and I left him unattended for a half hour… big mistake!
It’s just a gip rock panel to replace. I was just glad he didn’t ingest anything. Things have gotten better especially since my dogs have outgrown puppyhood.

Thanks for the advice on how to remove the baseboards.
