Hi, A while back someone sent me a link to vets in my area. I need it again. I didn’t save any of the phone numbers I called from that list. My computer crashed, and it didn’t save the links in my favorites.  I’m in the Orlando, FL area.

          Hi Danielle

This is what I’ve found via HRS recommended list: http://www.orlandorabbit.org/html/vets.html   Hope this helps.

            Thanks Jersey Girl!
Holly has an appointment for Monday. I could take her tomorrow, but I’d have to struggle with her and Zach solo. Hubby can help me on Monday.

Last night when I was grooming her I found a lump under her dewlap. Her dewlap has always been big, but It looked odd. I’m going to get it checked out. There’s a vet near our house, but I read a review where a similar situation happened and the bunny died. I’m going to one that takes care of exotics.

It might be a fatty tumor (had a friend whose rabbit had this and my rabbit Giselle had this). They can aspirate it to see what kind of cells they are and they can remove it if it’s a fatty cell. It could also possibly be an abscess.

Please keep us update on Ms. Holly and let us know what the vet says.

I’m trying not to get too freaked out or freak her out. She’s eating and drinking fine. She is still interested in her same activities. She just doesn’t want me to check her dewlap.

Poor thing. Would she let you mess around with her dewlap before? My buns don’t like their chin area touched at all. I think it’s kind of a sensitive spot.

Not really. I don’t think it hurts her for me to check it. She just would rather not be messed with that way.

Sorry, I meant to ask before but it was late here and I had already logged off. Hope you get some answers. Is this between her chin and dewlap or lower? i.e. btwn dewlap and chest?  On the vet list….I don’t know how often the HRS list is updated, do you need more options vet wise?

It seems to be on her neck. Her dewlap is big. When I first looked at it, I thought it was under her chin but it’s a little lower. You know how bunnies are. They are very squirmy and nervous when you want to look more than just pet.
