  I woke up late yesterday and had to run out of the house to get to a meeting. As I was getting ready, I noticed that the bun’s litter pan was dirty. They like to use the upper left hand corner to do all of their business. I saw the “Clean it or I’m going to start throwing it everywhere,” look from Maryann but I didn’t have the time. I decided to simply reach in and spin the litter pan around so that the very clean corner was in the upper left area. As I was getting dressed, Maryann looked at it and seemed to say, “Oh! There’s more than one corner?” and proceeded to do her business albiet in the upper left hand (now clean) area.

  LOL! That’s great! I do the same thing with Max and Mead. They only pee in the upper half… after a day, I flip it around so the clean side is the upper half…

  MaryAnn still is the worlds smartest rabbit- she was able to convey her litterbox needs to you with a single glance- either that or she has been “litterbox” training you since the day she came home!

  Mimzy does this too. Uses only one corner of his box (overnight-during the day it seems there are no ‘pee limits’) and angrily throws it about if I don’t change it before he has to use it again in the morning.
  lolz…Poor Maryann. It’s taken her forever to get you trained to turn the box for her, poor soul! ^_^

  For the record, I actually caught maryann now using the ‘cleaner’ corners of her litter box without having me to turn it around. I just think she didn’t know a litter pan had more than one corner.,

  Well this is weird, but suddenly Mimzy is also using the opposite corner which he always avoided before! 0_o
