Just an FYI- I heard from Lisa who runs BusyBunny.com that some rabbit rescues no longer allow people to bring in popsicle sticks for rabbits to chew on. They have had bunnies with internal damage and linked it to the popsicle sticks. Popsicle sticks do splinter.

Just wanted to let people know. You may want to think about this before giving your own bunnies popsicle sticks anymore.

Poor bunnies.  I suppose this is sort of like dogs with chicken bones.   Thanks for the info.

Thank you for sharing this info. I don’t use Popsicle sticsk myself… I use these really cool flavored balsa wood chew blocks (LOL!). I’ve always been concerned about splintering so I prefer the more natural, willow toys.
