i just found out it cost someone $200 to spay her buns, each.. whopping 400?!  really?!  i have two buns and now i don’t know if i could afford to get them spayed.  is that really how much it should cost?  i’m in yonkers, NY, but am willing to drive a couple of hours if it means i could save some.  anyone live around here willing to recommend a reliable vet that i can afford?

I am sure there are several members here in NY.   Have you tried the vet list on rabbit.org?

Or called humane societies.  Either they will do it or know a vet who does for a little less.

It depends where you go, but $200 is not unreasonable. I got quoted $500 for one vet. I just had Lucy spayed for a little over $200. Yep, buns are expensive, more expensive then alot of people think lol.

It depends on where you live but vet costs can vary.  I spent about $180 for Cotton to be spayed.  Check with your local House Rabbit Society to see their recommended vet lists.
