        Hey Everyone,

This weekend is the Queens Birthday Long Weekend here in Australia. I’m so excited lol I dropped out of my course today so I guess I get an never ending weekend until i find a job or enroll in another course.

I’m nervous as for this long weekend I’m going to Melbourne with my cousin for a girly weekend away. My partner will be at his parents house which is like an hour from my house so Pancakes is having to stay with my parents and sister for the 3 days that i will be away.

We have moved Pancakes out of my bedroom in the lounge room so she has more interaction with us plus with the other animals. We put her in front of the window so she gets the morning sun. I’m just nervous about leaving her for 3 days. I know it sounds silly but my mum keeps saying it will be fine and that it can’t be that hard to look after a bunny.

Should she be okay in her cage for 3 days???

        Thanks,

        Sammie

You could print out BB bunsitter form under the info tab at the top. That should give you some peace of mind.

Thats awesome thank you : ) my mum thinks because when she was a teenager and had a healthy and happy outside bunny that every bunny is the same. She goes i feed my rabbit whatever vegies were in teh fridge, it didnt get pellets and it was healthy and happy until the neighbours dog ate it.

Oh, I forgot about that long weekend! lol.   Sammie, be careful where you go in Melbourne. Rumour has it there is some quarantine regulations as of today regarding swine flu. In certain parts of the state, so it’ll affect anyone travelling into Victoria – particularly when they want to return home. You might want to check in with your local health authority before you head off.   Not meaning to scare you or anything, just be aware as things changing on this all the time.  Hope you do actually go and have a blast!

Nice to hear of the turn around in attitude of your Mum btw.

When you mention the cage in front of the window, I’m wondering just how close, does the sun hit that window or is it shaded, and will it be opened for a breeze or not?

I’m buy no means an expert on buns, by I do know they can heat up pretty quick.

Thanks Jersery Girl, i turned the news on this morning and was like crap lol 521 cases of swine flu in Victoria. I’m not going to let the swine flu ruin my weekend away but I haven’t spoken to my cousin for a week so I don’t know if she might cancel or anything. My partner said if I can’t fly home he is going to drive down and pick me up lol i doubt it.

I guess its just a matter of waiting lol

And Mr Billl, we moved her to another wall across from the window and will only put her under the window when we are home. We just had the blinds open and the curtain was still covering it and it’s winter here now so the house is freezing so having here under the window gives a little warmth i guess lol.

I dropped out of my course so im home all the time now lol more play time for Pancakes. Actually i don’t think letting her runaround all the time would be a good idea coz when i go back to study or work then she might get a bit used of being let out of the cage during the day or something.

lol… see, shows you how much I know   Heck, in that case getting sun through the glass probably feels good. Our Trixie use to lay right on top the the heater vent during the cold months. She fit perfectly on top of it. You’d look at her and see her hair blowing up around her neck and rear end.

According to my mum, Pancakes is a designer bunny lol that’s what she calls it.

she says “A real bunny has pointy ears etc etc” lol
