… other than their names? Any fun nicknames?
We call Otto: Autobahn, Ottobahn, Ottobun, Bunny Man, Baby Bun, Otter, and Ott-so. We almost never use his real name! ![]()
So what do you call your buns?
Haha, Freya hears her real name when she’s in trouble. She probably thinks her name is “Freya, don’t eat that” or “Freya, no” lol. Mostly we call her Bunnykins (I know, not very original) or Princess.
I had a rabbit named Dandelion. I called him Todd. His real name was Dandelion though. Also went with Bun a lot. Sometimes broke into Sweeney Todd theme musical numbers… “Attend the tale of Dandy Todd… demon rabbit of Kendrick blvd”
Fun topic!
Remy, Remykins, Remy-boo, Punkin, Punkin-Pie, Punky, Remoulade, Remington, Rems, Bun, Bunny-Bat, Lambie…….. (don’t ask)
And probably more I can’t think of at the moment.
You realize of course that saying don’t ask just makes everyone want to ask.
Trixie was Trix, Trixster, Tweety, Peepers & Little Misses Kisses. Nothing yet for Addie and Benjie other than Piggie for Addie and Little Man for Benjie.
Penny was Pen-Pen, Pennifer, Bunners.
Cotton is Binks, Binkers, BunBun. (and I also refer to her as “my chubby Chihuahua” since she is more like a dog than a bunny).
Schroeder is Salad Eating Machine and Schroedie.
Odie is Odie-pants and Scooter is Scooter Booter Bunnyhead or MY FAT LIL BUDHA!!
Haha, you’re signature is so funny. I have a very low tolerance for stupid people but tend to keep that to myself lest I offend someone. I think I love you Kit.

*gigglesnort* I think we’ve done something like this before, but it’s always a fun topic to revisit as the names tend to change.
Pip: Pippi (Longstocking), Pippity-Poo, Poopy Bun, Her Majesty, Madame Disapproval, Pippity-Doo-Dah
Mimzy: Mimzy-Mimz, Mimzity-Moo, Sweetie Bun, Fonny Bonny
Fiver: Fivah-Five, Fivity-Foo, Sweetie Leetle Bonny, Spazz Bun, Mr. Whee, Zoom-zoom-zoom (from the Hyundai or Toyota commercial, whichever that was)
And of course, they are all just “Bun” most of the time. If they get ornery I just call them, Hey You!” or “Booger Bun”.
My most fun is to make up little songs about them. As you can see I use “Zippity-Doo-Dah” for all of them. Or I tweak things like “You Are My BUNshine” or my favorite is to use “I’m Just A Little Black Raincloud” form Winnie the Pooh and instead I sing, “I’m just a sweet little bun-bun” and change the lyrics accordingly.
Pip has to put up with me singing the Galaxy Glue song from The Incredible Shrinking Woman with Lily Tomlin from years ago, using her Pippity-Poo name to add to the lyric. The others get their names stuck in it too, and of course my kids hate to hear me tune up with that one. lolz….
Just wait till I start singing it the next time we’re all in public together. xD
peppa is peps mainly and georgie is georgie porgie eve though she is a girl and not remotely fat x
we used to call cookie the cookster and cookie monster and cornflake girl x we used to sing that song ” i am going to ibiza,to the island, to have a party ….. all the other bunnies and me which didnt fit at all but was funny x
My rabbit doesnt even have a name yet lol I just call her “sweetie” My little 3yrold wants her to be called “mouse” ??!! lol
Benjamin has a bunch of nicknames between my husband and I, both ‘grandparents (Damon &my parents are his Grandpy and Grandmy- My mother is desperate for grandkids) It’s shocking he still responds to Benjamin. 🙂
B, Little Man, Little Fuzzy Man, Buster, Buster Brown, Boo-Boo, Stinky-Face, Sir Chomps A-Lot, The Insane Stunt Bunny and Bundini. I know there is more but I can’t think of them right now. 🙂
lolz, Sally when I think of mice I think of the cartoon movie “An American Tail” about he little immigrant mouse named Fivel. That might be a cute name for a bun.
I know there’s tons more names that i call Pip especially…my daughter and I were going over a few this morning and I’ve forgotten them all again, otherwise I’d jot them down here. >.<
But then, every pet in this house has some name other than their given name that they are mostly called. And what worries me is, if I ever have to look for them and I’m calling their given name, they won’t answer to it because I mostly call them Sweetie or Cutie or Bubby…lolz. How confusing it must be for them!
Oh yeah ! I remember him – so cute! Or you could name him Stuart Little – does your son know him? Or Despereaux. Though I still think Mouse is a great name.
Edit: Doh! I just saw your rabbit is a she! Maybe Minnie Mouse?
And Fievel sounds unisex too.
My buns’ names change almost everyday.
Meadow is usually: Meadow E. Bunny, Baby Girl, Mead, Meadowey, Princess, Mead OH!
Max is usually some variation of Max and Moo: Maxie, Maxie Moo, Maxes, Maxes Moo, Baby Boy, Bunbun, my sweet boy…
They are collectively: BUNNIES! (yelled with emphasis), Baby buns, the kids, the furballs, the children.
The list goes on… I am sure there are dozens I’m forgetting.
Keep in mind, I am also the person who calls her HUMAN CHILD: Meeho, Moohoo, Mutt-hutt, Meatloaf, etc… ;o) Poor kid is going to have a complex…
