Hi, I just have a quick question: Why does my bunny grind his teeth?

Like sometimes I’ll have him on the floor, and he’ll randomly grind his teeth.

Well, it sounds to me like he is purring – they gently grind their teeth when they are content.

They may also grind their teeth when they are in pain BUT they will exhibit other behaviors as well when they are ill and you will know the difference most likely.

sarita beat me to the punch… so i`ll say `ditto`. sounds like you have a happy bun!

if your bun was in pain he`d likely be hunched funny or squirming like he can`t find a comfy position.

Ahhh you got a visit from the tooth purr fairy.   The sign of a happy bun.   They do it when you pet them.  Ruby’s are barely noticeable.  Some are very noticeable tho.
