Hi Everyone! Its been a while but I am back! I hope everyone is doing fine

So my husband and I may be moving back to Florida because he was laid off here in California but luckily an old client wants to hire him in Florida!

They will be paying our relocation as he would have to start right away once he signs the terms.

So i am scared, because we have to fly and there is no way I am leaving my babies behind. What do you all suggest? Have any of you flown with Buns before? What was it like? Im very nervous i don’t want my bunnies to die but I dont want to give them up either.

        Please advise.

        <3

At one point I was looking at taking my buns with me on a flight, which I didnt end up going on the trip so I didnt have to, but I emailed a ton of airlines and the only one that I found (this was a little while ago) was continental airlines but it is the ONLY airline that will let you take them as carry on luggage, one per passenger but it think you could take two in one cage which is what I was trying to do. All other airlines make you store them in the cargo/baggage/pet area under the plane, but seeing as you are in a warm climate either way I would definitley avoid that at all costs, it gets way too hot in there for them. My biggest worry when I was planning all this was how I was going to get them through security, getting them on a leash and all that mess. Hope this helps a little!

Not something I can help with but also a concern for me. My family is all in Pennsylvania and I live in Utah now. I’d like to visit home this fall and have no intention of leaving Freya behind. I have friends here, but none I’d trust with her because they all have small children. (Ok, it’s that I don’t trust kids with my baby unless I’m there.) I suppose I could let my mother-in-law feed her for a week, but she’s a bit absent minded and is a total neat freak, she’d have a cow if she saw the mess Freya leaves for me overnight. This leaves taking her with me. I’m more comfortable having her with me anyway, I’m not sure I could bear to leave her for a week.

              Hi Marilu

Nice to see you here again!  I recently was replying to a member with screen name bunny fofo and thought of you also.  Was wondering where you got to.  Sorry to hear of your husbands job, especially in these economic times.  Good though that he’s got something else lined up so quickly.

I don’t have advice to give but can point you to a previous thread regarding airline travel.  binkybunny.com/FORUM/tabid/54/aff/2…fault.aspx

How are the bunnies?  I recall you have Tigerlily and then adopted a new one but I don’t recall the name.  I do remember you had odour issues with some you were looking after or was that him?  lol  How have they gotten along?

                Hey Jersey!!!

My bunnies are doing good! They bonded perfectly, no scuffles or anything it truly was love at first site and now they are so content together it really makes me happy to see them grooming each other and loving

I did have to bathe Takoda when he first got here but he is doing great now, no more stinky and the stains on his feet and bottom are almost gone

                How is everything in Australia?

Thank you for asking! (I do remember your thoughts and prayers for the Aussies during the fires btw!) All seems well. Where enjoying Autumn here with all it’s random weather. I also bought home a new bun and am in process of bonding them. Just about done actually. Takoda! I should have remembered such a great name. You were very lucky to have them bond smoothly! You must post some pics in the Lounge of the pair when you can.

Sounds as if the near future is going to be busy for you!

Edit: I often make the assumption that because someone hasn’t logged on or posted for a while that they haven’t been on the site…lol  There must be many, many, just reading away – not posting all over the place like I do!
