         Hi all,

I thought I’d pop in real quick.  The last few weeks have been pretty crazy. I thought I’d pop in before my new crazy work schedule takes in effect.

Life with baby has been great. He’s getting cuter everyday. I’ll try to remember to post a couple of new favorite pics of him.  I’ve been posting posts on my facebook that a lot of my friends think Holly is crazy. Here are a couple of quick stories of what my favorite pet (my only pet) is doing these days.

The other night, I just put Zach to bed. I like to stay nearby for a while to see if I’m needed.  I was lying on the floor watching TV when suddenly I get pounced on by Holly. She just started licking my arm like a puppy dog. As to say, “hi mom, i’m out.” Crazy girl.  Last night, I was doing lesson plans for my Saturday morning class. I was petting her, but my focus was elsewhere. She’d circle around me thumping. I finally got up and ran some races with her and gave her a good pet. She then let me do some work.  Today, sadly was one of the rare days where she didn’t get out much.  As a result, I let her out when my hubby and I got home from our first date night w/o Zach.  I was on the couch, and she would raise up put her front paws on my leg as to say, “come down here with me.”  I did, and I had a bunny who climbed on my lap. She rarely does that.

Zachary is great. We just went to the doctor for his 4 month baby visit to update his shots. He cried, but then he slept most of the rest of the day.  He now weighs 17 lbs and is 26 inches.  He’s right on target according to the Dr. In a couple of weeks, Zach and I are flying to my hometown in Ohio for a wedding.  I’m a little nervous about that. My husband can’t come because he doesn’t have any vacation left. He used it all when Zachary was born.

Also, Holly and Zachary are starting to get to know each other. Holly will sometimes hop on my lap while I’m feeding Zachary. Sometimes, she’ll lick him on the head and then hop down. Other times, she likes to dig at my shirt, but she never bothers Zach.  With our help, he has now had a chance to pet her once or twice. We sing him a song we made up called “Holly the Bunny.” Sometimes, it is the only song he wants when he is crying.

        Here’s the picture:

Was wondering actually if things were getting hectic. That’s so lovely that Zach & Holly are bonding like that! He looks very bright-eyed and ready to take on the world!
