Nicki (me) and Harlequeen say hello (I look terrible in this photo but it’s the only unblurry pic I have of harlequeen, she’s not one for staying still!!!)

I live in cheshire, UK. Harlequeen was bought as a boy called Harlequin, got sexed by my boyfriend as a girl, confirmed by the vet hence Harlequeen. No idea what breed, she looks like a wild rabbit with bits of white and is a house bunny.

Welcome Nicki & Harlequeen! Love the feminine spin on the name. So cute, you both sitting there the same. I ditto Lizzie, you don’t look horrible at all!
Thanks for posting the pic. From 1st glance, she looks a bit like an English Spot(mix?) breed. They have a hare like body if that’s what you mean by “looking like a wild rabbit”.

Where was she sitting? On something behind you?

You look like you have a guardian angel-bun on your shoulder (all you need is a devil bunny on your other shoulder… I’ll even let you borrow my mini rex… LMAO!)

howdy all, cheers for the breed idea jerseygirl, what I meant by looks like a wild rabbit is that in the UK we’re swamped by wild rabbits that are a browny grey colour and medium size. When I got her from the pet shop one of the brother/sisters was this colour all over and look identical to these wild rabbits so I’m assuming 1 hopped into the cage of some poor innocent tame rabbit, did the dirty and voila whole load of wild looking rabbits with white!! lol

cheers Beka27, yeah she was sitting of a cushion i was sitting against. As for the required devil I think she fills that position I little better then the angle one so that is the one that is in fact still vacant…

At roughly 6 months of age, I bet she does!

Some domestic rabbits can have colouring like the wild rabbit – it’s called Agouti, but they’re not wild. I think wild rabbits are a different species so can’t interbreed with domestics, however, what your seeing there could be Ferals with agouti colouring.  i.e.domestics that are set free or escape and then breed, breed, breed!   Likely though, they’re just wild rabbits – like we have here in Oz! Ours did come from the UK after all!

Hello Nicki! We live in the UK too!

Me (Katrina) and Honey wanna post a picture of us too.

Honey is a netherland dwarf and she is a bit of a devil sometimes, and an angel… hmm, I need her to sit somewhere in the middle then , huh?

“No idea what breed, she looks like a wild rabbit with bits of white”

I think that she might be an english spot rabbit, like these two!

cheers for all the breed help, she does look a bit like the english spot but she’s brown/grey not black, and she has a brown back/bottom, which you cant see in that pic.

Howdy there Katrina, where in the UK are you?

Here’s a slightly better pic of her chillin’ in her outdoor pen (yes it’s very small but it used to house our 2 guine pigs hence she can barely fit through the door!!) when we goes visit my parents.

Aw! we love new members & piccies here! Welcome Katrina & Honey too. Honey does look a little Sprite! I saw the other pics of her in the Tech section too

I’d definatley say Harlequeen has E.Spot in her! Probably a mix as most pet store ones are. I’ve always suspected mine has E spot in her too. I normally have a pic as my avatar but that’s currently out of action.

Hello Nicki I am Karen but call me peppa lol. Wow i was thinking i was the only one in the uk and the whole time difference on here at totally the wrong time to everyone else lol. But now i know bunnylover is uk too.
I know what you mean about the wild bunnies here, and occasionally i see a totally black bunny and always think it is an escaped home bunny. i didnt know the wild ones wouldnt be able to breed with our ones… that is so interesting. Are all wild rabbits the same breed type or are there different ones.

I noticed in the outdoor photo of Harlequeen she has a very elegant head, very Belgian hare-ish looking, her body type also.
