  Hi everybody! I have had Rocky at home for just over 3 weeks now, I rescued him after somebody dumped him, took him to the vet and he’s healthy as can be… I wanted to ask a question about licking though… He has pretty recently allowed me to pet his head, but afterwards, he licks my hand… He’ll lick it for as long as I let him! It’s so funny, I don’t mind it but I think he gets ticked off if I stop him… Anybody heard of this behavior before? It’s silly sounding but I really think he wants to give me a little affection back after he gets petted… ?

  Not sure if it is the same but my rabbit likes to try to lick my feet. Sometimes I’ll pet her for a while then she’ll get up and try to lick my feet. I think Rocky just likes you .

  Bunnies groom each other as social behavior. His grooming you indicates he thinks of you as a somewhat odd-looking bunny and is showing affection and gratitude for the pettins he got.
  
  If you go to the links section and look for the one called The Language of Lagomorphs, you will find a HUGE amount of information on bunny body language and why they do what they do. It will help you understand your bun and even “talk back” in pidgin-rabbit!

  My bunny licks me on the nose sometimes I think he’s just telling you that he likes you and wants to return the grooming favor.

  I think Pepper views me as a large naked clumsy and rather dim rabbit.
