With Mimzy’s respiratory issues, I have to wonder how healthy even a good fresh breeze through the bedroom window can be for him?
The air outside is warm, but the breeze blows pretty cool. I do notice him sneezing at times after I open the window, so I shut it, fearing it’s too drafty. But then it gets so hot in that room.
We’re easily going over 80 if I don’t let air in.
By evening, the reamining heat from the attic tends to spread through the house, but we’re still getting into the upper 30’s at night, so I try to shut the window again at a reasonable hour. I am employing a LOT of freezie bottles to comabt the stuffiness of the indoor air.
I feel Mimzy’s ears and they feel unusually warm to me. But if I press my lips to them (how I would tell if the kids had a fever-the lip skin is more sensitive) they feel fine. I can feel his pulse pounding through the veins in those ears. I am afraid he will get too hot…but I’m also afraid he’ll be chilled and his URI will worsen.
The other two bunnies seem to appreciate the cool air. They have been plugged up in this stuffy house all winter. The fresh air smells so good!
What should I do?
