Pancakes in her cage in my bedroom

        Hello Everyone :  )

I would like to Thank everyone for answering my questions over the past week or so. All your information has been very helpful. Pancakes is  slowly getting used to me And my partner is jealous that she doesn’t like to picked up by him. I live with my parents and my partner stays here every few nights or so and hasn’t been here as much since Pancakes has been here so she hasn’t had time to bond with him.

        I love having a bunny

We let her out of the cage every so often and let her have a run around my room only if i’m able to watch as i haven’t yet bunny proof my room but she hasn’t even tried to go for any electirical cords. In the photos below is a photo of her cage that is in my room, a photo of the hutch we got her for outside but hardly goes in it maybe when it warms up she will want to be in the sun a bit. And other photos i took of her. I have at the end of my bed a pile of the pillows and cushions that we don’t sleep with on the bed which Pancakes was loving climbing up and down. Hasn’t yet had an accident in my room (not that i have found yet lol)

And my FAV photo is of her up on her back legs. I also have added this photo last out of all of them.

Resting on my bed before taking off on her investigating trip around my bedroom again.

The outdoor hutch which is on our back balcony for now until the puppy grows up. i’m scared the puppy will scare Pancakes to death or eat her. I’m very over protective of Pancakes.

In her FAV spot in her cage on top of the box my partner put in there for her which also she can climb into which has a bed and straw inside….. i now put a straw and a blanket up there for her also to keep her warm in this aussie winter.

Pancakes climbing over the pillows and  exploring….. she was having an awesome time but i think i already mentioned this.

And last but not least my FAV photo at the moment

How old are they when they reach there full size????? The breeder said she would get double the size.

          Sammie and Pancakes

P.S. i went to the vets on Friday and somehow there was a mix up with the names. They looked in the carry case and go this must be Samantha and I was like no i’m Samantha this is Pancakes. And there like well that makes more sense.

What a cutie- I love lops!  Just keep an eye on her- when they are new to an environment they often will ignore cords and other things that they can get into (like your plastic bags storing food)- but once they are comfortable is when they start thinking they own the place and can do whatever they want.

It was not until about 5-6 months old that my first bunny Cotton discovered cords- so we bunny proofed thoroughly.  Cotton is such a diva that she has a fit if anything is blocking her way- like us blocking the steps or so she can not get behind the dish tank.  She grabs the barrier with her teeth and yanks it- so some our barriers are permanent now.

LOL @ the vets! That would be a very unfortunate name for a person! I only name my pets people names, so that’s a little more likely to happen in my situation… ;o)

She looks like a very happy bunny!

Awww – I’ll bet that’s a lot like what Pepper looked like as a young-un!

                  She’s a lop-mutt and about 6.5 lbs at almost 5 years old.

she woke me up at 4am this morning rattling the cage. i nearly got up to her but then decided to ignore it so it doesnt come a regular thing. i guess it was kind of cute though.

Wow! I love your setup! ^_^ I never thought of placing my bunnies cages on top of an iron frame like that and then placing the supplies underneath! (Right now two of them are one cage on top and one below stacked on each other and the only space to walk in my room is with tiptoes between all the Rubbermaid tubs I have stacked on each other to hold their hay and stuff…what a nightmare!)

Aw, what a precious bun! Oooo…I think allenj’s Boston has some competition int he cute arena! 0_o I like that last picture too, what personality Pancakes has! ^_^

it took me ages to find the frame to put the cage on…….. its better having it on the floor and having to step on it so in a better location now.
