Frankie the vacuum-bunny is up to no good again.

This time I think he ate a Tums. A generic Target brand one… do you think this could make him sick? I’m going to be a work all day and can’t keep an eye on him

I know the main ingredient is calcium of some sort.

I think he will be fine, they are calcium-based and not aluminum based like other brands are. The little dickens!

I would think so too-he might feel free of heartburn for a few days-now he can have chili!

I would probably worry too, but I don’t think it will hurt him too much. Usually when buns eat strange things it gives them gas, but I can’t see tums causing gas, some people take them to reduce gas.

The little stinkers they can be. They eat the strangest things sometimes. The other day Olivia ate a piece of Jalapeno Dorito. Very spicy!!!! She seemed to think it was pretty darn tasty. She even licked the carpet where she found it.

                  Frankie needs a muzzle, methinks…or a cork. 0_o I’ll make a donation. >.< j/k

Dang, rabbit, what’s wrong with just eating hay and pellets and veggies? Why does he go for all this fruity/chalky stuff all the time? (chewing gum, antacids, etc.) I seriously think he has the pica (the same ‘craving’ eating disorder that causes pregnant women to want pickles and ice cream), lolz…. What a handful this little guy is!

If it’s calcium based, just be sure to watch his urine to see if it gets sludgy I would think. Maybe plenty of water to drink to help flush it through.

Thanks you guys. I saw this post this morning, but honestly I was also stumped. I’d rather not give advice than say the wrong thing.

I just got home and he seems ok. I offered him some fresh parsley (one of his favs) but he snubbed it… but he accepted a few pellets and I just saw him munching on some hay. I’ll make sure he gets a lot of attention tonight… little bugger.

So why were you shopping around for a shop-vac? j/k Hope he’s okay. I’ve actually seen Tums and/or liquid calcium suggested for a rabbit medical kit before (not sure what for though.) If anything, if your worried about the calcium, just up his water intake.(???)

Edit: posted same time. Good to hear he’s doing well. Yes, little bugger!
