So I bought my two buns a mini haven and I set it up and everything inside their pen, and well….I havnt seen them in like a week! They will not leave this house! They only come out to go to the bathroom and to eat and drink, but they arent playing and doing their morning binkies anymore, or just lounging around during the afternoon in front of their little mini fan…I dont know whether I should take it out?

Many members here have had their bunnies disappear into the Maze Havens. Right now it’s novel, and also relaxing for them to do their lounging in. They will be lounging during most of the daytime hours, and again later at night, so it might just make them feel secure and cozy, like a warren. See if you can lure them out for some playtime right around your dinnertime, about dusk, with toys. Possible tempt them with a small treat like a raisin, then keep them out for a while. I wouldn’t dismantle it just yet.

Oh my the case of the dissapearing bunnies.  Usually buns are active around dusk  Hopefully you can coax them out.  I wonder if once the novelty wears off they will go out and exercise again.

My bunnies also love the haven’s and pretty much anything they can hide in, like cardboard boxes and willow tents. Usually they do come out in the early evening though, what times of day are you able to spend with your bunnies? If you normally spend the morning with them and they do morning binkies, I think that will start up again once they realize that the haven isn’t going anywhere so they don’t need to stay inside it ALL the time.

Yes. When we got the maze haven, my buns disappeared for months. For a long time, I had it set up outside of their pen, so they HAD to come out to use it. Can you try that? Maybe get a willow tent for inside the pen (or a regular cardboard hidey box) but have the maze outside?

They have another hidey box in their pen too but they dont like to use that one, I am home all day everyday with them so I spend alot of time with them I took the second level off and made one of the side holes a little bigger (more hand access for head rubs). They came out last night for a little but oh well. I will try it on the outside, since we got the pen they really dont leave that area as much anymore, but hopefully!!!

That’s what bunny slaves do… lol! We cater to our furry friends needs and then get ignored!

hahahahah sooo true! It’s such a great toy they just disappear into it! The novelty does wear off and you’ll see them again soon Mine still love theirs (in fact they ate one whole floor of it!) but they aren’t missing anymore
