  I can’t get any more buns right now, but that doesn’t stop me from checking out all the adoptable buns! Boy, this pair brought a smile to my face…..Too cute!!!!!

  Hi. Yes, you are seeing what you think you are seeing.
  My name is Jessica. I am a VERY LARGE, Flemish Giant girl and my hus-bun is Jack, a gorgeous, neutered, Dutch boy. While we may be an odd couple in size, we are a perfect fit in how much we love each other!
  
  To be honest, we are surprised to find ourselves in rescue and in need of a forever home. Our humans moved out west from the East Coast with us and then surrendered us to a local animal shelter when they had a new baby and got busy with life. So here we are, on our own and looking for a great place with people to love us and help us feel welcomed and secure.
  
  Flemish Giants like me (I am about 13 pounds of pure bunny love and opinions) need to be with people who understand the care and handling of a BIG bunny. I really prefer to be petted on the ground and just adore my hus-bun Jack—he’s the boss in our relationship.
  By the way…did you check out his bright blue eyes? Wow, what a looker!
  We are still settling in at rescue, but would LOVE to find a home where we can be mostly free range safely indoors. Looking for a ready made bunny family? That’s us. You won’t be sorry.
  Oh, one last thing…SaveABunny is still seeking confirmation of my spay surgery, so we’ll keep you posted.

  Makes me smile every time I think of this pair. Funny that the hus-bun is so tiny compared to her! I think a BB-er should adopt them so we can follow their lives haha

  Such a shame that the family didn’t want them anymore. there adorable. i just couldnt believe the size. i never knew bunnies could get that big for starters.

  Yup it was bean and monroe. I couldn’t find them in the SaveABunny register for some reason – or maybe I just glanced over them and the size difference was so much, but it is them.

  I must admit that even after getting Chubs and falling in love with him, I was a little scared of Flemmies…like the pic of that guy holding her…it kind of scared me and reminded me of like an Easter Bunny nightmare or something! I think if I saw them in person I would fall in love with them like every other bunny though, they’re just so big! I never knew a bunny could get so big!

  The great thing about them is that they are much like dogs at that point. Because they are so big, they don’t fear being food as much as the smaller buns. Although the poops are twice as large, they are very much into letting people pet them all day long. At least I haven’t met one that is skittish yet.

  Really? Both pairs – Jessica+Jack, Bean+Monroe? I referenced this thread in another in Q&A today. I think it’s why it’s made a reappearence here but it’s good as we can get an update. I would personally find them irresistable and would have thought other would too…so I’m surprised they’re still at the shelter.

  Bean and Monroe were actually adopted back in july by a great woman who was looking for a boyfriend for her girl bun. Turns out that two boyfriends are even better than one!

  So… Bunners is just a 1/4 pound shy of 12 pounds, and doesn’t look nearly that big. But then again… He’s the only bun I’ve ever really spent time with. hahaha… my plans for a little bunny continue!! Nethie here I come!
