Congratulations!!!!!! Cool graduation present – really! I like practical gifts. I’ve seen this sort of thing. What type of light is it that these contraptions have?
As to seeds….maybe asian greens – they’re super fast at growing and huge variety. Also stuff you can trim and it keeps growing. You can even grow grass varieties – dry/cure it and voila – you made hay! lol

Ooh! I wanted one of those . I don’t have one though. Is it for you or your bunnies? Or both? I’d get the seed kits that grow vegetables that you share with your bunnies. Like the romaine kit. Which model do you have? This link tells you which pods can be used with which models: http://www.aerogardenstore.com/prom…e_seedkits

The salad green seed kit is great for bunnies!  I am unfortunately able to use mine because Steve has too sensitive a stomach and Pepper is too picky to eat anything but romaine and cilantro.

International basil is good too.  I have found the seed kits with the most similar plants is easiest because if you have basil, dill, chives, and cilantro, they all grow differently and is actually a lot of work to keep everything growing and in the light.  Basil is a light hog in that scenario.  I would use the International basil or the salad greens.  They are both fantastic.

The pesto basil might be good.

That aerogarden link is awesome!!!!!  I had no idea I could customize my seed packs.  I have the 7 pod garden.  I wanted to grow herbs for the bunny beasts…and what is left over can go to me.  He/We found it 2nd hand on Craigslist, so we paid about 1/2 price.  I’m so excited b/c I wanted one really bad, but was way to cheap to buy one.  I thought it would be awesome to supplement the bunny salad/herb supply.  When I attempt to grow herbs in the yard (I’m a container garden girl), the squirrals eat & dig them all up.  My rabbits end up w/ nothing.  I’m ok during spring/summer w/ my area farmer’s market, but growing them some yum yums would be awesome.  I’ll let you all know how it grows!

Yes…the doctor thing hasn’t completely set in I guess b/c I can’t officially use the title until I finish my pre-doc internship July 4th. But thank you for the congrats.

                      lol

You know your talkin to bunny slaves when we are more interested in the fact you got something to help feed your buns than in your doctorate!

Congrats! You should change your name on here to Dr.Skunklionshow! But then people might think your a vet. But still, personally, those who go thru all that work to get their doctorate should be shown the respect it deserves. At work the few doctorates we have teaching (most are masters) I call them Dr. and people tease me since Im one of the instructors and dont “have” to call them that but to me its a form of respect. IF I WENT THRU ALL THAT- I wouldnt expect people to all call me DR-but I would like the respect!!!!!

                      What is your doctorate in?
