Well, I had to come up with a compromise: my rabbits get superviised roaming through the house/running on my patio, round-the-clock free access to my room, but there have been times when I needed to lock them up. For their own safety, and especially during the final bonding sessions when I moved Lint into Mops’ territory…. so I joined the NIC grid club and, even though my pen isn’t fancy or glamorous (I really wanted colorful grids), it serves us well. Their ‘confined space’ has two exits, one coming out from under the bed, the other from the main area. I can, and do, block access to under the bed at night and when I do, they get very nippy with me: Lint will come running in a little fit knowing that I’m about to cut him off from his secret pathway… he will honk and circle me and it’s too funny! In the morning they sit by that blocked entrance waiting to be granted access…
I have a gate for the open spot.
this is the other entrance which I can block with that wooden chest that has their hay.
— I thought I’d share these photos since there was a thread about whether to turn your bedroom over to your rabbits
