Well I took Pacey bunny dating it was a scary experience lol.

The first date was with Jodie a Red New Zealand as soon as the saw each other it was an all out war! Me and the shelter worker had to actually put them in cages in different rooms it was awful lol.

The second one was with “unnamed” not sure on the breed they have her as a Rhinelander or a Rhinelander mix I have never heard of the breed but apparently they make good ‘meat’ rabbit but I suck at breeds so I have no idea lol. They ignored each other for the most part and about 10 minutes in snuggled up against each other and shared some hay. Pacey mounted her once she just sat there. And he honked I don’t know if that is good or bad lol.

The next was with Pitter Patter a male Castor Standard Rex. They ignored each other mostly but had a few tiffs and Pitter Patter kept nipping Pacey’s butt. Pitter Patter tried to groom Pacey’s nose but he wasn’t having any of it.

The last was Sunshine a tort mini lop. She was a terror to say the least lol. She was very pretty but very mean. She nearly took one of Pacey’s ears off. He was so scared he hopped up on me and wouldn’t even get down for a raisin Pacey refusing a RAISIN the world must be ending! So that didn’t work too well.

So we came home with “unnamed”! She is 1.5 years old and very very overweight she weighs 13.6 lbs! She makes Pacey look like a baby bunny lol. Her cage is currently too small (came from the shelter) but I ordered an xpen a few minutes ago so it should be here soon. She is not spayed so I gotta have that done as well. She has no idea what a litterbox or hay or vegetables are kind of sad. According to the workers her previous owners fed her crackers, doritos, potato chips, ice cream and ice cream cones, cat food (CAT FOOD!!!!), and she came with some stinky rabbit pellets I don’t know the brand but they  smell really bad. I can’t fit a litterbox big enough for her in her current cage so I have to wait to litterbox train her. She knows how to use puppy pads outside of the cage so that is ok for now lol. Her previous owner left her blanket so we have that as well she loves the thing lol.

She is a big girl not only overweight wise just a big girl. I have a 10 pound Chihuahua/Pomeranian/Daschund mix dog that she is about 1 inch shorter than from shoulder to floor he is 1.5 feet tall.

On with the pictures (I know that is why you are really here ) LOL

She sounds like she needed a good home like yours! She is pretty. I think a good diet and a little exercise will help get that weight off.

Congratulations on your new bun and Pacey’s new future girlfriend.

What a pretty girl! Congrats! Is the rescue spaying her for you or do you have to do that by yourself?

She is pretty cool and veeerrry silky feeling lol I want to pet her all the time. She is super mellow but she is a powerhouse lol she thumped at one of my dogs and I thought for sure she broke the bottom of her cage it was so loud lol.

She had a vet visit right after and they said that she was in good health just really overweight. He said at a normal weight she should weigh between 6 and 8 pounds. And that it appears that she has had babies before (I don’t know how he would know that)

She likes chasing my smallest dog he plays with her (lets her chase him around the room).

My sister was eating some potato chips and set the bag down she made a bee line for it and I had a hard time getting her head out of the bag!

I have to do it myself they don’t spay or neuter animals here. But the new vet did great with my friends bunny so I will probably take her there in a few weeks.

Awww – she’s lovely!  But yeah, she’s too plump.

Once she’s spayed, on a decent diet and getting excercise she should slim down just fine.

Good thing your dog lets “no-name” chase him – that will help get the weight off!
Poor girl – doritos & ice cream – oh, my.

I’m glad she now has a good home!

I am pretty much letting her have free run of my bedroom right now so she can get as much exercise as possible lol. I have decided to call her Marshmallow because she feels like a marshmallow lol

Sonn84, what a beautiful rabbit addition you got yourself! Rabbit dating, *almost* as scary as real (human) dating??

–did you say somewhere that you have 7 dogs?? if so, Marshmellow will get skinny quick if she has to chase all of them!

I really like her, she looks so cuddly and…well, mellow!

Congratulations! She is pretty. I think I’m gonna fall over laughing when I see a pic of her with Pacey though – hehehe!
She looks a Rhinelander and they are on the large side. I can’t recall if they have rex like fur? Maybe it’s that I’ve seen someones bunny hear with rex fur, rhinelander colourings. (HEDI maybe?)
I remember they like a larger English Spot but with 2 colours on white.
                                        There 1st meeting sounds promising!

So maybe the bunny and I can hang out. Potato chips and ice cream is my diet of choice during finals. So busy i pretty much just grab things that look edible and throw it in the general direction of my face….

I say Rhinelander, too, they weigh between 7 and 10 lbs…. so as a de-chubbing regimen, send all potato chips and ice cream hooty’s way !!!
The Rhinelander has very silky regular length fur. The shelter I worked at had one and my boss called it the ‘calico bunny’ because in essence it’s got calico markings… orange or brown and black on a white coat. Let us know more about her personality!

A-ha! Then that’s what I think LilysMama’s bunny Jester partly is!  Pic of him in House Rabbit Q&A to compare.

Her fur does feel really silky. I have to use a harness to get her out of her cage since she is really overweight she can’t really hop out lol She has to use a harness for medium breed puppies lol! Can’t wait to get her pen cause her cage is stiiiinky have to clean it everyday and she can’t have a blanket or anything or she pees on it currently!

She broke the door on her cage last night when I had my ferret Smokie out playing in his and Dopey’s room and I turn around and there is a bunny in front of me and she charged at Smokie and he clawed me to death trying to climb me like a tree lol. Lets just say ferret room now has a door and baby gate since she can apparently push the door open. She definitely has attitude towards animals and it not afraid to show it but to people she is just a big squish ball!

It makes me so mad when peaple do that, feed there bunnies chips and ice cream all the time and nothing good! Ive actruly lectured customers at Walmart were i work when they buy bunny food from there, because we only sell the crap kind (Im trying to get that changed!) so i lecture them on propor diet XD Proboly not the best thing for my job buuuttttt I just cant stand the thought of some poor bunny being mis-treated.

Im so glad you saved her! Poor thing sounds like she needs a good home! My newest one was like that to, its been a few months and shes still overweight =\ She wont run though, she just sleeps when i let her out…..

oh, wow! She’s already comfortable enough to get into trouble! She sounds like a great personality!!! Poor Smokie: embarassing for a ferret to be scared of a rabbit??!! What is going on…. who is the predator here?

Jerseygirl, apparently pretty much all breeds have been ‘rexed’ so that you could get a Standard Rex who would be of similar size, with Rhinelander markings.
