I FINALLY found a GOOD vet that is near-by that will neuter Oreo for $90.00 this includes pre-op blood work, a complete exam, and a fecal float! I sent in all of my electronic gadgets to this place on the internet and they just sent me an email saying I should have my check in by the end of the week. I’m waiting to get that check to make the appointment, but she said it shouldn’t be a problem getting him in next week! I wish things weren’t so tight for us to have to sell our old cell phones to do it, but right now they are, and I really wanted to get him fixed. Things are looking up for us though, we are refinancing our house so that will ease ALOT of stuff up, and hopefully in the near future Oreo will have a playmate!!!!

Hooray!! $90 is an awesome price!! Around here it’s like $250! This is why if/when I get my bunny, it’s going to be from a rescue, lol!! Can’t imagine paying around $200 when I got the bunny then having to pay another $250 with in a couple months (not including all the other monthly stuff!). Anyways…Congrats on finding a good vet!

Thank you ladies! I’m so excited, I actually got a call from the vet that will be performing Oreo’s surgery this afternoon, she wanted to introduce herself, and get to know alittle about Oreo. She said she will do a through check over on him, since he was a “breeder” bunny. That really shocked me that she called! I’ve NEVER had a vet to call unless its to give me bad news! That really calmed my nerves… for the time being anyway! =)

                  Congrats on finding a vet.

If you don’t mind my asking what vet did you get? Are they in Radcliff?

I got Helmwood in Elizabethtown. (I will double check that in the morning…I can’t remember if its Etown or Louisville….) Are you in the area?

I’m in Shepherdsville, Bullitt County. I was curious where the vet might be to see if its closer to me than Louisville. I love Benjamin’s vet but it never hurts to have a back-up vet in emergency situations when his vet may be unavailable.

I’m pretty sure its Etown, Louisville was my next city to search, I think you where the one who recommended the vet that does house-calls, i was going to go with her, but she wouldn’t drive this far down, we are in the south end of Radcliff, almost to vine grove, So Etown is much closer. for us.
