I just made a new cage for Hammer, twice as big as his old setup.  Toke me all day, so he and Lucy had to keep switching from carrier and playpen every hour or so becuase I only have one pen, so they were a bit moody all day.  It toke forever because my room is so small and crammed with junk and bunny stuff that it makes any little thing so complicated.  I had to move my bed to a very wierd place for a bed, move my dresser, and now I have no tv because it couldnt stay where the cable outlet thingy is if the buns were to get bigger cages, and I cant run a cable through the room because.. well I have rabbits.  And I did all of this on 3 hours of sleep, my senior prom was last night.  Not a good idea by the way, i was slap happy therefore didnt feel tired and about an hour into it I was completely exhausted but had to finish or else the buns wouldnt have anywhere to sleep lol.  Anyways im getting off track.  I put him in his new pen and he got new stuff cus its bigger.  Scattered his toys around etc.  He binkied in there for a while and then started playing with his toys.  But he put his toys in a box!!  Everything he could pick up is now in his new “toy box”. He put ALL his rattles, cups, toys and a small bowl of willow pieces in this box thing!  It might just be him playing, but maybe he is just really picky and clean, he hasnt ever had anything to be a toy box before.  He is really really good at pee and poo only in the litter box too, maybe I should ask him to  straighten up my room too

Hehe! That is cool – maybe he could become your slave. Clean the room, sort and fold the laundry. Dust etc

LOL! I can’t imagine how creative you must have been! I keep imagining his new digs with a prom theme – lol

lol id be so pleased if he would either vacuum his hair out of my carpet or just stop shedding all together. Ill clean up after myself when he does : )

Yea ill get pictures as soon as it charges, its completely dead from prom. So ill get a few of his new pen and post them soon. I wanted but didnt get any pictures of me in my dress with the buns, they were cranky and I was afraid they would ruin my dress with their darn claws.

That is adorable!! Is it Maryann who puts her toys away when she’s done playing with them? I thought so….

Yup, Maryann puts them away by size, one inside the other inside the other. Freaks me out everytime.

Oh what a smart lil’ guy! Delilah used to be obsessed with putting things away (*sighs* none of the others are though..) She’d put her toys and dishes in her litter box. Once she surprised me by carelessly tossing a plastic container out of the way… and it just so happened to perfectly land in her food dish o.o

That’s really amazing that they put their toys away. Do you think it’s a little project for them?

BunnyLiz, you might be able to find a cable extension cord (like at Radio Shack or Ace Hardware type stores) that you could run up the wall. I used to tack my phone cords up near the ceiling to have the wires reach around doors and through rooms without letting little nibblers get to them. Hardware stores have things that screw into the wall and hold wires in place, if you can picture that. Not as ugly as it sounds, since it’s over human heads too.

Grr I have to retype this!! My fault though, or rather my laptops fault, its having an off day.  First picture! Hammers new pen- 4×3 nic grids.  He and Lucy were sharing one this size with a nic barrier down the middle.  Lucy is still in the old one but I removed a cube in the barrier so she can go back and forth between the two ‘rooms’.  Its complicated to take the whole barrier out because it has shelves, ill get there someday just not someday in the immediate future lol.  Fair enough because they are the same size anyway.  She needs to be in that one for now because it has a top and I wouldnt trust her without one.  Hammer’s has no top now but they will both be getting clothes pinned sheets as tops when I get to the store and fix Lucy’s.  Neither have ever tried to jump baby gates or nic gates(though Hammer tried to copy my silly cat and jump up the wall last night, gave me a scare the crazy boy) but I dont want someone to randomly jump out and then into the others cage which would cause a major fight.  Anyways when they are bonded the final cage will be three times this size if all goes as planned.  Nice aerial shot of the litter box lol.

Second picture of Hammers pen- Has his bathrrom and kitchenette and snuggle nock equipped with RoseBun.

Next is the toy box!  I think I may need a bigger one, the toys are spilling over a bit

Last is the little genius himself, came out of his tent to see what all the flashing was about.

Pam- We think exactly alike! I wanted to run a a big ugly cable right up the wall, over the ceiling to the other side of the room, back down the wall and run it so the buns couldnt get it- straight across the ceiling lol. Why not!? Who cares, its just my room, which is quickly becoming the bunnies room. Im afraid I might have to start paying rent to the bunnies to be able to sleep in their room haha. But my family doesnt get it, so they wouldnt run the cable for me and i have no idea what im doing so id end up with a fire on my hands if I tried to do it myself lol. So I just watch my shows on the internet in my room a few days later, they are usually on Youtube. Just part of what I give up for the buns I guess lol.

Love your setup! it looks so nice.
Haha I agree with both of you about the cable running up the wall… I have a really ugly one running up my wall (it is a disgusting color too) because I wanted a lamp that I could turn on with a switch but it turns out that the plug that is attached to the switch is right in Fern’s pen! So I have an ugly wire running up the wall and a light hanging from a hook. It even has this metal tubing on the bottom of the chord to stop Fern from chewing it…

I would hunt around hardware stores in order to find white cords that would match my white walls so it wouldn’t look so bad. I could never figure out why electronic designers made all the dozens of cords in ugly gray and black colors. I think Dell was the first co. to finally make laptops in different colors instead of institutional gray.
It’s so hard to disguise bunny proofing stuff. Your pink walls with white trim is really pretty, BTW.

Thanks Moonlight_wolf! I think Hammer will like it once he adjust, now he is upset and wants his old cage back.
Oh the things we do for our bunnies! All this bun proofing. Its ugly, costly, never ending! Im down to two cords in my whole room. I only have one outlet that is completely blocked from the buns and is impossible for them to get to. So my printer and computer charger are there. My one light is the ceiling fan. All my other chargers (phone, ipod, camera etc ) are down the hall plugged in the bathroom lol. Annoying must times but hey it works and its safest for the buns.
