I’m keeping my bunny cage in the kitchen, and have been leaving the cage door open so my bunny can roam around on the tile (plus there’s nothing for him to get into in that room – I have fully bunny proofed so I feel confident)… I have a litter box placed where he likes to go potty, and he has gotten the idea of where to go through herding (advise I found on this site) him to the box when he’s about to go, and then I give him a treat while he’s there and tell him he’s a good boy… right now he’s in his cage and I’ve closed it up and swept and wiped down the floor tiles with 50% water and 50% white vinegar… Now I want to be able to clean off my stove top and countertops (about 5 feet away from him) but I don’t want to use any harsh chemicals like I used to because I’m sure he will get a few whiffs of the chemicals… Would you suggest removing his cage entirely while I clean with the chlorox kitchen cleaner I usually use (which might tick him off but is probably better for him in the long run)… Should I use the same cleaner with surfaces he won’t come in contact with but spray the cleaner directly on a rag and not on the countertop to avoid spraying so much in the air? Any suggestions? I’m hoping in a month or two this won’t be an issue, as I expect him to be able to go to other rooms one he’s neutered and fully house trained and I could clean while he’s out in another room, but right now the only room I feel safe having him in is the kitchen…
I hope that’s not wierd or gross… Thanks in advance for your feedback!
