         Hello Again…

        This could be just me being a paranoid Momma, but I just noticed when I brought Oreo out for his afternoon playtime and he hasn’t pooped at all today, AND he hasn’t finished his Breakfast either?!?!?! It hasn’t been 12 hours, it’s been since around 8am this morning (eastern time)… I’m really quite worried….what should I do? Should I feed him his dinner?, or Maybe try giving him a treat to see if he eats it?!

          I would try to give him a treat to see if he eats it. If my mini rex has gas, she will refuse treats. Keep an eye out for poop. It’s not very uncommon for them to go a bit thru out the day without pooping. Has he been napping a lot, how is his activity level?

            Ok, I’m going to try giving him his apple treat since he hasn’t gotten a treat today yet, He seems normal, I think he napped alittle longer than usual, but he’s out of his cage and is checking out his toys…Gosh I’m so worried.

              Ok, He ate 2 slices of apple, not big, but small, thats usually all I give him for a treat. Should I maybe throw out his breakfast food, and give him his normal dinner, or should I leave him be, and see how he is tonight, and in the morning?

                Keep an eye on him. If the breakfast is veggies and they’re wilted, I would toss them out. If they are pellets, you can leave them in there for him.

                  Well, I have to go to church in a few, I’m hoping with the quite in the house maybe he will do some business…lol, When my husband came home he was talking to him after I told him he hadn’t pooped, and he noticed he was nibbling on some hay, hopefully thats a good sign too! I think I may sift through his litter for pee, to double check on that. he gets mixed greens in the morning (spinach, romaine lettuce, and parsley, he gets the same at night, I break it up for him, because he’s a gobbler.

                        I am pretty sure bunnies purposely go on poop strike just to throw us crazy humans into a frenzy.  Owen did this to me once, forcing me to come home at lunch and check on him.  And of course the litter box that had been completely empty in the morning was then full. Oy!

                            I had a foster bunny once who would do this. I’d clean her box in the morning, and by 4 or 5 in the afternoon, it would be unused. Then right around dinner time, when I’d let her out, she would go like crazy. I think she was saving them :-}
