Ok, So when I first got Oreo I was in a hurry (wanted to rescue him from that horrible woman!) and so I picked up the first bag of bunny pellets i could find! Well, i want to get him of something healthier so naturally I turn to BINKY BUNNY!!!! Well now I can’t decided which bag I want to buy, price isn’t a factor, he only gets about 1/2 cup of pellet a day.  So I just wanted to see which one seemed be better Bunny Basic’s T or Organic Bunny, Also there’s a lot of hay to choose from…I could use some help there as well! Thanks a Million as always!!!

I think they are both equally good. I’ve had a few people on some of my other rabbit lists express a little concern that the organic has some organic blueberry and organic cranberry (they were concerned about the sugars) but there is no listing of the sugar content and I’m not personally concerned about this – might be a concern if your rabbit is hyper sensitive to sugars I suppose but like I said I don’t see a listing for the sugar content so I have no idea how much the sugar grams are. I have given my rabbit Pepe the organic and he likes it.

All of my rabbits will happily eat the Bunny Basics T as well.

We use the Basics T. For us, price is a factor so we use the “T” and we’re very pleased with it. Some stores (like PetSmart) are carrying Osbow products now. You may want to check to see if they even have the Organic available before making your decision.

Please don’t take the “price isn’t a factor” as me being snobish, I’m sorry if I came across that way, I know most of you are multi bunny households, so there are more buns to feed, Oreo is my only bun… that was/is my point, now when it comes to my dogs and cats since we have multiples of those, price is a factor there. Thank you all for the help, Looks like its going to be Basics T from now on! =)

No, not at all! I didn’t take it the wrong way! Trust me, we spend so much money on veggies and hay, we like to be able to save a *little bit* on pellets and litter while still being sure they meet all requirements.

Ok, now what about the hay? he eats Timothy right now, from Sun-seed…(?) I know thats the name, just never heard of it before. Its what our feeder supply sells.

I use Bunny Basics T as well. Hubble needs unlimited pellets and I like to keep my rabbits on the same diet. I have been considering mixing the two though.

As far as hay goes, Binky Bunny really does have the best stuff I’ve found. Oxbow is nice as a treat, but price wise, BB really has just the right amount for two bunnies in a mini bale (well, if Hubble would eat hay!). Plus they have an awesome variety! (and did I mention, the best customer service I’ve ever had?). Plus you probably won’t have to order that often, a couple of mini bales should last a good amount of time. If you can’t do online though, Petsmart is now selling Oxbow. Or your local feed store might let you have a flake for a couple of dollars. Storing a whole bale doesn’t work very well for most people, but I do have Orchid hay by the bale because my mom has horses and they assist with eating.

I used Sunseed briefly after I got Meadow but I had such bad experiences with it (brown pieces, not fresh smelling, dusty…) that I decided to switch to the Oxbow brand of Timothy hay. The change was unbelievable. My rabbit went from eating very little hay to GOBBLING UP the Oxbow! I’ve never looked back… Now I get Oxbow Orchard as well and I mix it in with the timothy. My two bunnies will eat approximately 2 to 3 40 oz bags a month…

Yeah, I’m not real impressed with Sunseed at all. I I’m almost through the bag, so I will be order some from BB.com real soon!
